Wuss safe - it's Tigers or Falcons

Post by MurphysLaw »

Just watched Wuss narrowly beat Glos to secure their Prem status for another year.
Direct attacking play, physicality and keeping the ball alive, added to good defense - far better than Tigers at the moment.
So, it's come down to between Tigers or Newcastle for the drop.
Worst Tigers team ever? How the mighty have fallen!

We should be safe but if we do go down then we deserve it

TBF.
It's the worst Tigers team because we have never finished outside of 5th.

Don't get me wrong it's a :censored: team but some perspective on that.

If Gloucester was playing Newcastle away I would be quite worried.
But I can't see Gloucester playing their last home game of the season at anything but 100%.

If we are safe by next weekend it will only be down to Newcastle not winning. I can see us getting stuffed at Quins and not even scraping a losing bonus point. If Newcastle win, it will be down to the last games of the season ...

Not inconceivable that Newcastle could win both (albeit needing at least 1 bonus point win) as Gloucester have secured 3rd (based on wins) & have nothing to play for next week against Newcastle. Plus Bristol may have nothing to play for in their last game against Newcastle.

Last home game, I doubt they will view it as nothing to play for.
They have 3 weeks till the semi finals if they switch off this long before it they will suffer coming into the semi finals.

Could see them maybe resting players in the Sale game but still doubt it.

If Bristol beat Sale they could be playing for 6th.

I could be right in saying if we get a bonus point and Falcons fail to get a Try bonus point win we will be safe?

Don't worry about what others do.
Its down to Tigers to get a "W" from Quins or Barff.

If we don't - then we deserve to go down.
Answer - make sure we get a "W".

That would be correct.

They all want to be the club that relegated the mighty tigers, in a gamesmanship sort of way. Can Tigers/the players cope with that sort of pressure? If Bath are responsible than that will be very very painful. Please Tigers DON’T let that happen, any other team would be bad enough, of course, but don’t let it be Bath. FIGHT for your premier league survival. :smt027 :smt041

I can see that, but the lbp Glos got today confirms their play-off spot. They can not improve on that and they might be pragmatic and rotate a few players.

After seeing how Quins played at Exeter yesterday, they are miles ahead of Tigers. They are going full on for the last play-off spot and I can't see Tigers getting anything.

As we have by far the worst Coaching team in attack and defence, and Glos wont do us any favours.-----------it could go down to the wire..
Please , get rid of them all bar Stanko.
