All Coaches except Boris must go now..
That's the final straw. An abysmal display , and the Coaches have to be held responsible. A number of the younger players are never be going to make the grade, and the No 11 missed numerous tackles. How can Northamptons winger weigh twice as much as ours. ?????

Agreed, look at the two squads out today, yet Bristol played much better rugby with some good handling in so called poor conditions. Imagine if we had their coaching team.

Worse coaching team in the GP, comfortably! We've lucky we've got a few decent players!

There are players in the game too,you really believe Deano and Wells wouldn't do better with our bunch?!

We need an outsider, someone abrasive like Bob Dwyer was. Perhaps a Gatland, certainly one who has served his time and knows his own mind and won’t let senior players and board members tell him how to do it. Free hand to appoint who he wants within the finances available.
Clear out the dross, has beens and never will bes. No room for sentiment be that the players or coaches.
Why do we keep appointing recently retired players to head coach/DOR level who get exposed and appoint clueless specialist coaches. No sign of positive effect from our forwards coach nor our defence coach.

Because of DNA?? Bit of a stupid question at the end that severely undermines your point. It really frustrates me that people just think you can put on weight, it doesn’t always work as such.norfolkexpat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 4:55 pm That's the final straw. Sadly we're probably stuck with what we've got until after the world cup because everybody qualified already has a job. My fantasy pick for Geordan's job was Ben Ryan but it looks like he's busy with that flash in the pan 5-a-side format he's currently championing.

The no 11 being Owolofela, he's played virtually all year and has developed well. At 20 he's not the finished article but there's plenty of potential there. He's improved a good deal under the high ball but he does need to do some work on his one on one tackling at this level. He didn't struggle in the JWC so the additional pace and physicality is taking some time to adjust.norfolkexpat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 4:55 pm That's the final straw. Generally I think the young players have been reliable. I'd be looking to retain them and purge the ranks of the senior players who are not performing, they'll be earning at least twice as much.
The coach that needed holding to account has been, the problem is that he was held to account 4 months too late. The boards lack of decisiveness at the end of last season has caused this mess. That and years of poor decision making. There is no point in now sacking our coaches en masse it won't magically fix anything and we need some form of consistency season to season.

BBC website report of today's match describes Murphy as interim coach.
Re: All Coaches except Boris must go now..
Take no notice of BBC ,they are forever doing stuff like this! Although I wish he still was, wasn't he supposed to be getting the job unless "the wheels come off"? So he gets given the job on a 1/9 run hahaha! It's the worse board I can think of at present in any sport,it really is a shambles, laughably so!

I think Newcastle United fans might disagree with you on that one.Scott1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 10:03 pm Take no notice of BBC ,they are forever doing stuff like this!
