COULD WELFORD ROAD BECOME A RUGBY GRAVEYARD?

Post by Dangerous4 »

I pose this question with a feeling of trepidation. If we are relegated, we could lose all our internationals.

We should not expect to automatically return, and could simply slide away into obscurity. This of course is the worst scenario, but, it is a possibility. Imagine Welford Road with just a very few thousand in it, and a huge hotel alongside.

God forbid that this should happen

I remain , yours faithfully, Mr. Doom and Gloom. :smt010

The hotel will always be full - of guests attending celebrations at Leicester's new premier wedding venue. :smt003

Never fear, after 5 seasons of disastrous recruitment of players and coaches, at least the BOD will be left to turn out the lights :smt010

We will have a hotel, banqueting facilities and some quiet bars all generating income but can you grow cabbages on a synthetic pitch?

Could WR be used for Athletics to keep some sporting interest?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

It’s a grass pitch on a synthetic sub base. It’s Hybrid not synthetic

No, not that one!

Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...

I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?
