I doubt Spencer his clocking more than Kalamafoni on the scales.

Spencer does ok in attack. Well at the set piece and rains in the big hits in defence. A lot of the problem has been that he's missed half the season, don't think we've seen the best of him yet.

Sorry to disagree but our website lists weights as, Kali 120 kgs, Fitz 115, Kitch 120, BOC 100, Spencer 112, Thompson 106, Wells 119, Williams 115.

That makes Spencer our lightest Lock, and my suggestion of Williams at 8 a very sound selection. I did look it up before I made my initial post!

In training photos, O’Connor and Toomua are back training, so for me the team will be:

1 Gigena
2 Youngs
3 Cole
4 Spencer
5 Kitchener
6 Williams
7 Evans
8 Thompson
9 White
10 Ford
11 Olowofela
12 Eastmond
13 Worth
14 Holmes
15 Apsland-Robinson
16 Kerr
17 Genge
18 Heyes
19 Wells
20 O’Connor
21 Youngs
22 Toomua
23 May

Manu has played a lot of rugby recently, so I’ve rested him, his body hasn’t played this much high-intensity rugby for half a dozen years so I believe he needs to a rest or to be benched.

Think Ben Youngs will start on Friday along with Manu.....need to get the boys back in the team. They have got a couple of weeks off in the next month or so when the European competition continues.

We need to start with the best team possible and that includes all of our returning internationals.

Play them against Saints. Then we have a week off. Then rest them completely against Exeter. Then play them for the remaining games, which I'm sure you agreed with when I said this the other day :smt017 and as I've said previously, win all the games apart from Exeter and finish 5th, with the results I've predicted for all of the other teams.

Agree. The England boys have a week to recuperate. Play them get systems working - get some confidence back in the squad.

I'm sure they would say they want to get back to club and play.

Japan is not that long off. We need them now in domestic competition mode. :smt024 :smt024

Yes Spencer definitely over 120kg as per premiership rugby website, wikipedia, etc Just look at him, he's massive.

I'd be tempted to pick our best team and not worry about internationals being tired too much. The 6N has two rest periods in, and we've got another rest week after the Saints game, so in reality they should be fine to go straight back in. I see the case for Manu or Youngs being on the bench if they seem sore, but the rest of them haven't played very much rugby at all. I think we'd feel a bit foolish if we lost the game and had Manu, May, Youngs etc not getting much involvement.

So our website is wrong then? You quote past weights, you just believe that you know better than our website without considering that our training schedule/dieticians haven't reduced him? :smt017
