But with specific reference to Manu, who is no doubt a marquee player, the cap is irrelevant.

Delighted with Manu re-signing.

12.Reid, Eastmond
13.Manu, Taute

Midfield depth has been a problem for a few seasons and that is an improvement in a key area. Add Andy Forsyth on dual-reg, Worth being useful at 13 and Hardwick a talented 12. I'm optimistic about that for next season.

My best guess was that he might just sign for another year so I an very happy at his decision. As others have said, money isn't everything but it does help :smt003

I still see a strong end to the season :smt023

So are we looking at 2 years followed by a testimonial year or 2 years then France then coming back to Tigers to finish his career? Is he still entitled to a testimonial year if he breaks his service? How do those work?

A testimonial year will happen during a season you're signed to the club, so if he is getting one, it'll be in the next two years.

Word from Munster is that Taute is a done deal to Tigers.

Most fans seem sad to see him go as well but Munster have got a surplus of centres coming through. Farrell, Scannell and Arnold have all be capped by Schmidt and Shane Daly who is about to graduate from their academy is meant to be a talent.

The necessity now is to get Ford locked in. No good having centres and wings if there is not a 10 with vision to feed them. A 9 with a fast service is also essential, and YBY doesn’t altogether fill that bill.

Has played both 13 and 12 for them this season. Also captained the team so seems to be a very good player to have in the squad. Big carrier too.

I imagine his testimonial will be 2020-21 which would tie in with 10 years as a first team player at the club
