Like Steyn, replacement for Williams maybe? The lock Ruzza looks to be one to watch, good carrier and at 24 has got room for some more development.

Until he starts tearing it up for whichever team picks him up and then we get the usual moaning about why we let him go etc.

Lendrid is fine if you give him quick ball to play with and a directive to just get the ball away quickly (like with England). Most SHs don't look great off slow ball and that's pretty much all we've generated all season.

We've got some decent options coming through to take over the reins when the time is right.

Exactly.

Sort out the pack before firing your international class SH. There's a reason he has 83 England caps.

You can’t blame the pack if Youngs isn’t setting the tempo by tapping and going or effectively sniping the breakdown, something which he hasn’t done in years.

This is one if those times where people would realise just how good Youngs is if he moved clubs. There would be a huge void to fill if Youngs left and the current scrum halves, although are great back up choices, would not be the level Youngs is. White and Simmons are looking great for the future but if either were to be number one choice next season, we'd see why Youngs is currently first choice. Harrison is a very good scrum half but he's not as good as Youngs.

I agree 100% Ellis - YBY would be a massive hole to fill and only improve the team he'd go to. He's got a key role to help in bringing White & Simmonds through just as the more senior scrum halves did with Ben when he was coming up into the 1st team squad.

Luckily he won't go so its moot anyway

Some confirmation on that would be welcome. The uncertainty on the future of such a high earner must make budgeting the rest of the squad difficult, as well as picking up a marquee.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Tapping and going is one thing but sniping is really difficult with ball so slow it would make my granny look quick (and she's been gone for over 20 years!)!

I was convinced that Manu was leaving when the article went up a couple of years ago, and now am going to prove my fickle ness by celebrating Manu is staying! :smt030

To be honest Tigers support of anyone making a break has been poor for a while.

If true, we really do have to thank England for this, he seemed to smile all the way through Saturdays game, he really enjoyed playing. I believe he may have seen all of the benefits in staying with us. Our Salary plus England fees, great, lets just hope he has signed and can stay fit. :smt038

What happened to our forwards coming round the corner phase after phase pummeling teams?!
