What do you want on match day?

Post by ellis9 »

What would be your perfect experience on a match day?

Just turn up to watch rugby?

Rugby with half time entertainment? What entertainment would that be?

Something going on before the match and what?

Something before the match and after the match? If so, what?

Would you want all these things to be included in the match ticket price or would you expect them for free?

Just the rugby.

I can't really envisage female cheer leaders at Welford Road! :smt005

A slightly quieter PA system, or one with better acoustic setup.

I normally chat with others on the terrace during HT (PA volume permitting) so apart from the 'Big Boot' which provides a bit of a laugh or something player related happening at HT - being able to say Thank You to Mat Tait for one - I don't really care.

One thing I'd be happy without though....halftime singers...those Gospel Singers from the last match Vs Wasps as an example...very much not my bag, appreciate others may have enjoyed but I thought they were dire and made worse by the booming PA :smt002 sorry to single them out, but they were the most recent instance of 'not interested' half time activity for me. Fully appreciate there're several thousand other supporters there so it takes all sorts - many puzzled looks around my area though.

Pre-match I'm happy stood on the terrace watching the warm ups and chatting over thoughts for the game ahead or the rugby week gone by.

Post match I hang around for a bit, see the players off the pitch, chat with others - occasionally stay for a beer but normally head off when the crowd has thinned out a bit. If there's a player presentation of any kind afterwards then I always stay. If there's Intl rugby on afterwards I may hang around to watch in the bar.

I'd far rather the razzmatazz was on the pitch for the 80 playing minutes.

I go to watch the rugby and talk about rugby, unless it's rugby/Tigers related I'm not really interested in it.

Unfortunately Whitecap I think the acoustics are not helped by the long-ageing structures of the Crumbie.

Rugby without halftime entertainment, so we can chat to people without having to compete with the PA system.

PA too loud all around the ground. Was it turned up to stop the signs of irritation towards the BoD at the dross being served up. TBH the kids matches before the warm ups were always entertaining. The half time stuff isn't organised well enough, always rushing to get people off the pitch as players coming back on.

I go for entertainment on the pitch from the players and the craic with my fellow supporters around me.

Gimmickry free.
The rugby to speak for itself in the pitch, once again, please.
A team to catch all ten in The Big Boot.

A guy on the mike with a bit of charisma. Even Daggers was better than this.
