My view is that it will be swept under the carpet UNLESS! we the paying public who support the premiership with our hard earned money keep the pressure on. Send letters, emails, petitions, and comments in all the time until something is done. Don't let the topic go off the boil. Show your feelings, your anger and frustration.

Surely the other clubs must be getting fed up with Saracens breaking the rules and will want this investigating.

Perhaps Mark but past experience shows that unless you keep the topic alive the beggers will ignore it.

"Soft, softy, catchee monkey". However, they are "as slippery as an eel" and "as cunning as a fox". They are rugby's "snake in the grass." Time to put the cat among the pigeons", and leave them as "lame ducks" :smt023

As well as the others reported the Telegraph is now reporting that Wray is in a property business with Itoje with the 2 of them being the only shareholders. Hmmmmm.

Nice to see that it the Investigation is being done "Out of Shop".
Which leads me to think will Criminal/Civil proceedings follow????
No one polices ethics, unless you call "Bringing the gamer into Disrepute"

Will it be brought to the attention of HMRC???? :smt035 :smt035 :smt035 :smt035

The Mail clearly think they have something...though it wouldn't be the first time they have just made things up...but their drip drip drip of the story is classic journalism when jouros do have a story. The problem is that most the clubs have no desire to poke the bear in the cage in case it escapes and kills everyone....Having an (un-named) club running their own investigation on another club is a bit odd unless they have a really good reason.

The other club (if true) might be looking into it (if true) to find out if it's alright for them to do similar!

Ryan Walkinshaw, previously running Gloucs, has come out and said that more than one owner has admitted to him that they breach the cap - one even offered to show him how easy is was done.
Report here... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/47481608
Interestingly, this was the top story on the rugby section of the BBC page earlier this morning, but it now seems to have disappeared.
Shows what a farce this Cap is, and how the PRL seem incapable to properly police it.
If it is to be creditable and work as intended, it needs people like Walkinshaw to spill the beans, and for external auditors to take over from PRL, and for the wrong-doing clubs to be sanctioned.
If not, and this is swept under the carpet again, then surely the Cap is a waste of time.

Edit: Sorry, my mistake, the Beeb report was still there. Just a different image and moved away from the top story.

The most telling comment by Walkinshaw is that he views breaching the cap in the same category as taking performance enhancing drugs. If that doesn't kick the powers that be into life I doubt anything will.

I'm getting more hopeful that this time it might not go away!
If you don't go in hard it's not a tackle it's an insult.

Indeed. Why have a wage cap if it isn't enforced? The manner in which it operates is ludicrous, as we shall see when it is swept under the proverbial carpet once again.
