Is that a hint there RB?

Tigers tried to sign Welch repeatedly in the past I thought but he always opted to stay at Falcons.
no just interesting.

At 29 this year I don't see him leaving Falcons TBH, not unless Falcons cut wages.

I know we like to re-sign Ex Tigers, I know he will be very experienced but I think his grandfather might be a touch too old? :smt030

It is a sad fact that until the laws of the game are changed to stop players flying into rucks to clear out the jacket, who more often than not is the 7, the number of injuries picked up by flankers will increase and therefore strength in depth is required
A bee in my bonnet for several seasons now, and my main contender for delayed/repetitive injuries hidden by the focus on tackles.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Here is a new one - we are loaning out players as injury cover, the question is do we want him back at the end of the loan period?????

Wow did not see that one coming! I would want him to return but importantly, does our head coach?

I wouldn’t be surprised if he stays.

On way too much money to be 3rd choice.

Are we getting value for money? Definitely not, especially when he can’t hit a barn door at lineout time.

I would venture that we haven’t had VFM from either him or Toomua, injuries aside.

I think the Aussie experiment has been an epic fail.

I was really impressed when we got him and Tooma but clearly it doesn’t work having internationals with aspirations of still playing in a land down under.

But I guess if Jake Kerr hadn’t kicked on we wouldn’t be releasing

Agree totally both for a number of reasons have not lived up to their potential.

BTW Head coach of the Waratahs is Daryl Gibson

It really wouldn't surprise me if we didn't see him in Tigers colours again. He gets around the park well and scrummages OK, but his lineout has been absolutely woeful for a while now. The sabbatical appears to have done wonders for OTY's throwing. I wonder if it was in the plan to release him at the end of the season anyway? Wonder if we're likely to see another hooker brought in as third choice or if one of the youngsters will be allowed to step up and fill the void?
