Wallace would be a downgrade on BOC or Evans, as Thompson as a 7 would be as well.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Noel Reid and Luke Wallace as done deals. (Reid is old news).

Also Rugby league clubs targeting Ford and mentions Cokansiga and Faz.
Reads more like a filler piece rather than anything actually serious.

Fissler says Wallace would be a straight swap for Evans, but it would prob be more on paper
7.
Guy Thompson
Luke Wallace -----> O'Connor
Tommy Reffell ---> Will Evans

Also Andy Forsyth on a duel reg with us and Cov. (Smith type replacement?)
Is Forsyth that guy who played for us in the Cup?
Yup. He's a former Tigers Academy grad if memory serves

At 28 he's had a career where he's been injured more than he's been in form. Not troubled the England squad bar one game against the Barbarians.

I'd rather keep Evans.

Whether I'm reading too much in to this or not I don't know, but Tigers have used Evans in their season ticket renewal gumf that they sent out. Would seem strange to highlight a player who isn't going to be here next season in renewal comms.

Maybe Evans is staying. We need a replacement for BOC so probably Wallace would fit the bill. Kind of similar, both very good when playing but both have had serious injury problems and lack fitness. If we can get Wallace playing it will be great business.

Forsyth could be a useful signing to partially cover Owen’s departure. He was always a good player but unfortunately appeared out of the academy playing at 13 at the same time as Manu! Dual registration (giving him decent game time) sounds a solid plan.

If its Wallace and Evans, then great, but considering hes seen as 3rd choice at the moment (behind BoC and GT) I'm guessing he's off.

Just saying Evans made up his mind before we signed Wallace.

Struggling to see how Wallace is a good singing if I’m honest...always injured and just an average to good squad player when fit

This is symptomatic of where Tigers are failing...on the whole singings over the past 5 years have just been average and due to this we currently have the worst Tigers squad ever assembled imo (how Glyn and Cohen are not held accountable for this is beyond comprehension)...surely this money spent on Wallace would go further on a young South African for example?

Such as?

Why is a young South African better than Wallace?

This is symptomatic of where a few Tigers fans are currently. Criticising pretty much every signing that the club makes.

It's not just signings - it's anything they do!

Granted Wallace has been unlucky with fitness, had an awful dislocation of the hip which he now appears to have fully recovered from. However, when fit he’s a very good premiership openside and I would imagine a new environment would do him a world of good.

If he's still got miles in his legs, Luke Wallace would be a seriously good squad addition, MotM in televised games on many occasions. I remember Will Greenwood pushing very hard for his inclusion in the England squad a few years ago.

You are always going to get a whole lot of injuries in your back row. If we have choices who fit in with a certain style of play (Thompson, Wallace are very similar) that, at least, shows some thought is going into building consistency along the lines of Sarries.
