Maybe I'm being super cynical but those reductions suggest to me that the mega signings that many of us are waiting for aren't going to happen. It also suggests to me that the club are pretty realistic about the fayre fans are likely to 'enjoy' next season.
Don't see why they would be linked anyway.
Prob because the club will most likely be factoring the possibility of Challenge cup rugby.

Smurf said categorically at the fans forum that we have signed some players “from around the world” but would not be announcing them yet at the request of their current clubs/the players themselves.
Since then they have only announced Jordan Taufua but there are strong rumours that Green, Reid and Taute have signed.
My guess is that we will only average about 20,000 for home premiership games this season and maybe the club think that slightly reducing prices will help increase the average attendances next season.

The Rugby Pod believe that Manu is staying, the to-and-froing continues!

Just been reading the Newcastle forum and it seems Will Witty is out of contract at the end of the season and Exeter are sniffing round - really really like him - a young gritty 2nd row who wouldn't cost too much. They also think Wilson has a get out clause and "is more than likely off"

Witty to Chiefs is done and dusted according to a Chiefs fan I know. (I'm sorry,I will never make the acquaintance of one ever again :smt005 )

Plenty of references in Tigers Times to players like Evans and Manu.

Staying or going?

A couple of observations from the Crusaders game.

Taufua much better in 2nd and 3rd weeks than the shakes start in the 1st. He’s going to be huge in the loose and attacking lineouts next year.

Completely unrealistic but Jack Goodhue would be the best replacement possible for Manu.

Virtually the same people (aka Rugby pass) that said he'd signed for Racing.

Rugby paper has us having
Noel Reid and Luke Wallace as done deals. (Reid is old news).

Also Rugby league clubs targeting Ford and mentions Cokansiga and Faz.
Reads more like a filler piece rather than anything actually serious.

Fissler says Wallace would be a straight swap for Evans, but it would prob be more on paper
7.
Guy Thompson
Luke Wallace -----> O'Connor
Tommy Reffell ---> Will Evans

Also Andy Forsyth on a duel reg with us and Cov. (Smith type replacement?)

Not sure about Wallace, he seems past in my opinion but maybe a new club environment will freshen him up.

Is Forsyth that guy who played for us in the Cup?
