Brilliant Academy Champions

Now, at last, this is the Tigers we all want to see. Good attacking rugby and sheer determination to hold off a very good Gloucester side to win 34-31.
Huge congratulations.

Congratulations Academy Team

Really good, gritty effort to beat Gloucester 34-31. First team please take note of how to attack and then defend only a 3 point lead in the last part of the game.
Congratulations to the whole squad and coaches. Some joy in this grim season.

Yes, I know there is a link about this but thought the lads should have a heading of its own as we really value the effort put in.

An excellent day out like last year, I thoroughly enjoyed the rugby, some of the guys I saw last year and thought they will make the grade confirmed my opinion of them.I am deliberately not mentioning names as this was a team performance and they all played their part but by my reckoning six at least maybe eight of those RB lists as in their final year should be retained, maybe even more and I reckon we will still be in contention for this trophy next season.

I don't envy the coaches making the calls.
My list of retains is near 11!, but I realise that not everyone can be kept.

I know it's a tough question RB but are there any genuine top prospects? I appreciate that it's a massive step up

I would say there is around 6 players who already show that potential to be top prospects. I also think we have another potential 3 already in the year below.
But as you say it's a big step up some who look great at U18 struggle, and some who develop later.
