All blacks website , http://www.allblacks.com/Player/U20?id=2180, describes him as playing with "relentless physicality". Like the sound of that. I think we can consider this signing an upgrade.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Fantastic signing!!! Always been very impressed by him.
Thompson as first choice 7 replacing BOC or Evans would be a downgrade imho.

To win is not as important as playing with style!

Hopefully we’re still in the hunt for some more forwards on top of the rumoured Green and Leatigaga. Would love for us to sign a marquee lock.

It might be the plan, but getting it over the finish line would still take a fair effort.

Do we think Lood De Jager is realistic?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XTW8_sbk98 - seems to play right across the back row from this clip but perhaps not as often at 8 as 6 or 7
Hehehehehehehehe

Be interesting the fight for the no.8 shirt now next season. Denton and Kalamafoni vastly different players. Denton the ball carrier who will get us on the front foot and also a great jumper. Kalamafoni more of a controlling no.8 with a phenomenal workrate both in attack and defence but maybe doesn’t make the metres Denton does.
Feel if we have a beefed up pack then Kalamfoni is a good pick with Denton off the bench. But if we need power then Denton is a good pick.

3 year contract
Class interview here
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/a ... d=12202215
Still wants to play for the AB's before he goes, so that means he won't try and U-turn if he gets called up.
"The financial side is cool but it was about the next step in my career and continuing to play good footy.
"I did my research. They've been in Heineken Cup finals, they've won championships, they know what it takes to be at the top level. The last couple of years they haven't had the best years but for me it was actually about going there and helping them get back to where they were.
"It was a reminder of the Crusaders of old with a strong history. We went through a slump and now we're going for our third title this year so it felt like a lot of similarities. I'm looking forward to going over there and seeing a different side to rugby."
The 27-year-old says he was struck by Leicester coach Geordan Murphy's passion and vision in the two calls they had, comparing him to Crusaders mentor Scott Robertson.
"He's worn the jersey before which is similar to Razor. Where he wants to take the club excited me. I can't wait to bring what I bring over there."

At the risk of sounding like ellis, do we know we were actually in for them? Maybe Taufau was the preference all along and the rest was agents talk.
That said, there is room for them if they want to come!

Some weird rumours doing the rounds that Murphy is very interested in bringing back Slater and Hamish Watson to Welford Road.
Apparently Watson doesn’t get on well with Cockerill. Is out of contract and has yet signed a renewal. Would be good business if Evans and BOC both leave.
Slater at the end of his two year contract with Gloucester too.

Looking forward to next year. I do enjoy running rugby but not quite as much as seeing our forwards dismantle the opposition.
I'm not cynical just experienced
