Reid looks very good in the time he's been on, if we get him and Toute our backs will be looking pretty good even with the loss off Toomua

Excellent news! Can alternate at 12 with Taute and cover Ford during international periods.

Taute is more of a unit so I'd presume he's the likely understudy to Manu. Might still be able to cover 15 as well of we need.

That would be some good back acquisitions, quality players that won't break the bank so we'll have cap to spend on the pack which is what we desperately need.

Backs;

9. Youngs, Harrison, White, Simmons
10. Ford, Hardwick
12. Eastmond, Reid
13. Manu Taute
Wing. May, Owolofela, Aspland-Robinson, Holmes, Thompstone?
15. TV, Worth

Suspect we'll retain Smith as well.

Such as Duane Vermeulen or a player of that ilk.

It'd be a big outlay for a player who'd be 33 by the time he joined. Snyman or Du Toit would be of similar cost (Snyman maybe a little cheaper) but are both considerably younger. If Du Toit fancied bringing his younger brother with him even better.

If it's an 8 that's going to be the new marquee spot then Mata at Edinburgh.

I was thinking also away from the new marquee forward we also need one or two other quality additions in the back five. Aggression and mobility required.

Am sure I heard Driscoll state during the match on BT Sport that Reid was going to Leicester after he scored the try...

I really hope we can bring Mata here. He is a fabulous player. Very much a power house and solid, with a good rugby brain on him.

Taute is more of a 12 who can cover 13. Probably not 15 anymore given he has lost his pace. Has captained Munster in the past so great addition to the leadership group.

Reid is probably being brought in more as a 10 but can also cover 12. Good upgrade over Ford when the Internationals are away.

Teviti Cuvabati is leaving Newcastle, but currently his destination, if we want some stardust in the back five, we should definitely go after him, shouldn’t be too expensive either.

The Leinster fans I've spoken to have described Reid and a 12 that can play 10 or 13. A good all rounder.

Taute played 13 in both games against us back in the double header during the 2016/17 season.

This season he’s played mainly 12. Imagine him being Toomua’s direct replacement.
