Sorry, but wasn't the selection lauded on here because it was looking ahead to the 6N period?! (Which is imminent by the way) Also, the home performances v Quins and Gloucester were excellent, so not sure which average games you've watched of late?WiggoTiger wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 6:13 pmSadly why rest players when we need to get continuity as we're playing average in games. Glad I wasn't the only one who saw that.... going the same way as every other law by the looks of it.

Massively in favour of the younger lads getting some game time but it has to be said that we've looked second best in all departments. Some older heads failing to earn their start imo.
Weak and unorganised defensively and weak and clueless with no 'nous' in attack. Same old same old whoever plays.
Good part is these guys can get some experience together and hopefully improve or at least show some signs of it.
Here's hoping for a better 2nd half.

Worth has been on good form lately but has been very poor so far. Positionally all over the place. Gareth Owen also doesn’t seem bothered either in attack or defence.
Both wingers looking good though and the Toomua Eastmond axis has created chances, just poor handling letting them down.
Heyes is going to be some player in the future, massive prospect in the scrum and ball in hand. Only 19 and holding his own against a Welsh international is no means feat.

........but we are only slow from the base when Ben Youngs plays. That's what we get told on here. He's not playing today so we can't be slow from the base surely?strawclearer wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 5:51 pm Kicking away a lot of possession; slow from the base of the scrum; very predictable - onwards and upwards!

Agree about commentary. Will try sound off and R Leics for second half (presume they are offering commentary)

Mapapalangi, Worth and White are barely Championship standard.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

The morons on the commentary team have been quick to slate him but he's kicked well and helped force some good territory with kick chase. Two misjudged kicks aside he's been fine. Notice the Welshies who were so quick to slate him were silent when he cut down Ken Owens with ease one on one just before half time.WiggoTiger wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 6:13 pmSadly why rest players when we need to get continuity as we're playing average in games. We've got to start using the ball better. We aren't resourcing the breakdown and the ref is not going to stop them flopping over. Need to be direct and arrive in numbers. Smash the Scarlets forwards. They have little in reserve on the bench so leave some bruises and wear them down.

Re: Team News v Scarlets
Was hoping for a bit of a continuation of the last game. Nevermind. Few players are not doing themselves any favours. Mappa being the main one. White slow and Worth uncharacteristicly poor.
Bateman all over the place and willing worker. Hoping for better now next half and next week as I have a ticket....

White is having a bad game but he has already shown he’s fine at Prem level....strawclearer wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 6:21 pm Mapapalangi, Worth and White are barely Championship standard.

Good battle in the scrum and our defence has looked solid so far, although we're making an awful lot of tackles

41 mins into the game and finally the mockery of the offside rule has been recognised...
