Evans leaving would be a big blow. Yes there are plenty of 7s coming through but as a young player in a key position he's the type of player we should be building our pack around.
6.Dombrandt 7.Evans 8.Chisholm
I can see why Quins are looking at him as that would be the making of a very balanced back row.

If we let Evans go we really are clueless.....
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Maybe we're not letting him go. Maybe we are trying to keep him but he has chosen to leave. There's a difference.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 12:47 pm If we let Evans go we really are clueless.....

Is he a fragile player, or is he just injured at the moment? My recollection is that for most of his career he's had very few lay-offs. He's 27 years old with more than 150 first class or international appearances to his name.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:09 pmWe gamble enough on another fragile centre. I doubt he’d be cheap enough to merit the risk.
Manu's the same age and racked up 118, despite being a first choice pick for longer.
Johnny May - as a random example - is a year older but has only racked up 156 appearances.

It's funny how many ex-Tiger academy graduates we seem to be trying to bring back. We recently brought in Jimmy Stevens, we seem to be signing Calum Green, we've brought back Varndell and now we're eyeing up Walker.strawclearer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 9:22 pm PlanetRugby still going with...
"The Rugby Paper meanwhile highlight that Leicester Tigers are looking to sign Rob and Jean-Luc du Preez after already securing brother Dan.
The same newspaper also believe that Harlequins wing Charlie Walker could be in line for a return to Leicester Tigers at the end of 2018/19."
Will Hurrell might want to be waiting by the phone with Toomua leaving!

The club hasn't exactly been settled while Evans has had to think about what to do at the end of his contract. It might be too late to persuade him to stay.
Don't think JJ is the type of player we need and is probably too expensive when cap needs diverting to 4 - 8.

Reffell is the Wales U20 captain, I would not be surprised if he moves to Wales in the future.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 11:55 amHopefully not true. Although it wouldn’t be the end of the world if he left. Always looks better off the bench than as a starter. Plus he has had fitness issues. With Reffell coming through, who looks a better prospect, and the academy 7s we are well stocked. Maybe K Smith will be his replacement

Will Evans going Quins is bonkers. Mad to let him go + also pretty silly of him to sign there if he has. Talks could just be talks. Can use it as leverage with us.

If Evans goes to Quins I’d take Luke Wallace coming the other way.
Although injured at the moment could easily be another Guy Thompson

His efforts certainly caught Murphy's eye. "Will Evans was a real nuisance and he is very exciting," said the Leicester boss.
"He didn't get many turnovers but he slowed a lot of ball down and there were some pictures where he could have had penalties.
"He was really smart listening to the referee. So I was really pleased with the way he played."
I suspect if Leicester want to keep him and he really wants to stay, this will be a simple re-signing.

Welcome back Phil Blake, you've been missed

The RugbyPass article in question is only a matter of speech and bears no photographic evidence, do I sense AGENT TALK?

Wasn’t it a Visa issue that has meant that it has faken so long to officially announce Phil Blake?
