Was Blake actually on the pitch pre-match and as waterboy at times during yesterday. There was someone in a blue tracksuit who I couldn't place and wondered if it was him.
No, Phil Blake only landed in the UK yesterday morning and was sat in the stands.
Thanks

I wonder if he's been doing some analysis and sending it over for the coaches to implement whilst a visa has been worked out. Last two weeks our defence has improved out of sight. Lads look far more confident in the structure.

I was amused by Geordan's reply when asked on Radio Leicester about Phil Blake sitting in the stands in Tigers kit. He said something like "It's amazing what you can buy in the club shop". :smt003

Seems more official now
Love the last line of that piece! Smurf on Mike Ford:

"He's very experienced in rugby and I'm lucky to have him as a friend. We meet for lots of coffees. And he's always goof for pieces of advice."

Goof? A typo or not?

Stories? Meh. He’s a good coach and I’d take his track record over unsubstantiated gossip any day.

I'd be more amazed if they actually had anything decent in stock!

How come?

We conceded the least amount of tries when Blake was last here.

Was hoping we'd drop the silly charade and announce him today. I don't get the delay seeing as Ben basically confirmed it on telly and Smurf said as much post match.

Ben Kay announced it. What difference does it make as to whether the club have officially announced it yet? We all know Blake is now our defence coach.
