Good points, however they have got into that position and are 8 up. We are showing a great defence but zero attack. Our back line is fully international save for worth, and have zero spark.ellis9 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 3:57 pm Some of the comments on here!
If we had just had a half with as much possession and territory as Bath and be only 8 points ahead, people would be moaning we should be further ahead.
Absolute credit to Tigers for their awesome defence. Defence which many on here have criticised recently.
Their second try shouldn't have been allowed either due to a knock on.
Don't be so soon and gloom. We are still in this.

Re: Bath next week ....
how many times is JP Doyle going to say stop doing that or I'll give a penalty, just give the penalty
Re: Bath next week ....
Bath deserved the Louw try - Genge had no tackle there, so it kinda evens up the dodgy Roberts double movement after a jig give.
The knock on at the breakdown of the Catt try is criminal - there's no point in a TMO who is used to check a non existent trip by Toomua and then not check where everyone else but the gnome saw happen.
We're far more in this than I ever thought we would be - we need to stop kicking away the possession we get, unless its for clear territorial gain.
Those last minute injuries to barf might just give us an opportunity here...

We’ve been sat in 2nd gear every time we’ve had the ball, stalled, then kicked the ball away (poorly).... I’m very much the optimist and maintain faith in this team but no point ignoring factsellis9 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 4:05 pmSlow first half? We scored 7 points inside 2 minutes and our defence has been awesome. Hardly a slow first half!25tiger wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 3:59 pm 2 great scores from Bath, the sheer strength of Jamie Roberts to power over the line even after being tackled and also the mysterious skill of scoring a try despite having 3 players off their feet and knocking the ball on.... well played JP Doyle!
And before anyone says I’m blaming the ref for our slow first half, I think he has been equally bad for Bath and we deserved a yellow. Bath are playing well and we need to have a big first 10 in the second half. Still think we are in it!

Only 8 points behind and in 2nd gear. Not bad.

And Bristol are turning it on too!

The God of injuries is offering us a helping hand...we should be able to take this by the scuff of the neck.
There is never any points for 2nd place...
Re: Bath next week ....
Just need to ensure we don't take a lineout 5m from the Bath try line
I'm not cynical just experienced

At some point Tigers need to be able to take a kick-off.

That try was from their restart. They challenge for it and win it..handful of phases later try time.
We kick long, don't challenge and funny that they get the ball and run it back.

We have been doing that for at least 5 years save for Scully for a while.Dr H Flashman MBE wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 4:27 pm That try was from their restart. They challenge for it and win it..handful of phases later try time.

Yet still only 10 points up.
