What do Blake, Gustard, Greene and now Varndell have in common? They are all ex tigers players or coaches. Frankly this is farcical we need less in breeding its unhealthy and a backward step in my opinion. We must grow and evolve as a club and not travel backwards.

We need the best and the right people.
Former Tigers or not.

Now if the club is only looking for former Tigers that is stupid but if they just happen to be the right ones so be it.

Another load of journeymen mentioned. Heaven help us. If Green is any good, why are Deano and Wells letting him go..

Why would they be letting him go?

For crying out loud I hate this argument.

With that logic, you'd never sign a quality player because the other team "wouldn't let them go."

He's out of contract, how do you know he hasnt been offered another contract?

Good player but honestly with the back row options coming up would rather we targeted a proper out and out 8 than another 6/8.
When did we last sign an out and out 8? TTTE?

If we are targeting the back row, we need an 8 or can break the gain line. Kalamafoni puts a lot of effort in but he doesn't often break the line. Another 6 cum 8 isn't going to improve that

I doubt they are letting him go. He's pretty much first choice in their engine room. This would be very much us tempting him back.

It seems if the rumour mill is true, it would appear evident that the club believe that only former Tigers are "the right ones". The fact that they are not necessarily the best ones to improve the squad and help us move forwards is my biggest concern.

Well apparently Tigers are "always letting younger players leave who go on to better things" so surely bringing them back is right? Unless of course people over exaggerated how good these players actually got?

We will see.
Blake didn't do a bad job for us when he was here for a season.
Varndell well I still don't think he is coming or if he is the only one.
Green well he was one of the best locks last season in the league

Welcome black Blake! You know my feeling about the "Tigers" way but if he can get our defence to perform like he did before bar against Bath then I'll be very pleased!
