We need speed around the field RB that's why I've gone for 2 7s.

Agree with the starting 15. Two opensides in the backrow because we didn't do well at the breakdown today and our forwards were slow to get there which Quins will be targeting. A bit more mobility is needed.

Williams was run round when he came on a couple of times and it was the same in Paris. Quins backs will leave him on his backside. Evans needs to come in. Wouldn't mind Evans starting to give BOC a lighter load from the bench.

If Fe'ao or Bateman are fit get the back in but otherwise that's it.

Evans is an option on the bench too, lumps are not what's needed v Quin's,they haven't really got a monster pack. It's speed what's needed like you said.

I’d go for something like this won’t happen but:

1 Genge
2 Polota-nau
3 Heyes
4 Williams
5 Spencer
6 Thompson
7 O’Connor
8 Kalamafoni
9 Youngs
10 Ford
11 May
12 Toomua
13 Tuilagi
14 Thompstone
15 Holmes
16 Kerr
17 Gigena
18 Cortes
19 Wells
20 Evans
21 White
22 Hardwick
23 Worth

Let's hope they're motivated for this game, just read an article from GF saying it's difficult to get up for the games of late.

I suspect against Racing this was determined by them having a huge pack and the need to stand up to them.
Ultimately our defensive problems rendered this irrelevant in that we gave away too many points early on in both games to take advantage of their pack flagging. Yesterday this was exacerbated by neither the ref nor the touch judges doing a thing about their fatty tight head driving at 45 degrees from the outset to destabilize the front row dominance we had in the scrum.

Against other sides that bench balance may be different but in the end it's the forwards who are more likely to get exhausted.

Presume you mean Johah Holmes? Depends on if he has recovered from his head injury.

I'd certainly start Cole to make sure that their pack has to work hard in the scrum, hopefully tiring them out so they are less effective in the loose. Given our position in the league we can't afford to take liberties.

Ford has arguably been our best player. Benching him to move Toomua across to fly half may be tempting but Gareth Owen seems to have lost pace after all of his injuries and probably is a bench player only these days.

Against Quins I’d love to see a team like this, obviously injuries/citing aside:

1 Genge
2 Polota-nau
3 Cole
4 Spencer
5 Kitchener
6 Refell
7 O’Connor
8 Thompson
9 Youngs
10 Ford
11 May
12 Toomua
13 Tuilagi
14 Thompstone
15 Holmes

16 Kerr
17 Gigena
18 Heyes
19 Wells
20 Mapapalangi
21 White
22 Owen
23 Olowafela

Never going to happen though.
