In what capacity is he supposed to be coming to the club? Defence coach I hope, but I have an uneasy feeling it will be D.O.R.

No - not 'untruths' - it should be "Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown." In other words, the King doesn't sleep well!
So - Pedant of the Year award goes to...................me?

"Wearing a Crown" in the real world entitles you after a good game, to be king for a day. But, not forgetting, you're only as good as your next game. I mean no disrespect to GM, but Mike Ford has experience at a higher level, and a bit of back-up, a different view and perspective, even short term, can only have more positives than negatives. Young George has an awful lot of potential, and a good few seasons left in him. Why look further afield?

From the Merc:
After Sunday's defeat at Racing 92, Murphy spoke about the possibility of a new coach being added to his team at Welford Road. The Tigers boss has expanded on that and it would appear that there could be an appointment sooner rather than later with a number of candidates having been interviewed.
"We have to get the right fit," he said. "I would love to say imminent but we have a little bit more due diligence to look at. We have to see what is there and a few more will pop up.
"We have done some interviews that is no secret but getting the right fit for us as a group is the right thing. We want to get someone who will add and help us grow and learn and develop, so from that point of view it is about getting the right guy."

We might be having to wait for Gustard, but looks like we still want him.

Murphy’s comments in the Guardian about Gustard and Ford.
“Paul and I shared a house when he played for Leicester and I know him well,” Murphy said. “I have no idea where that came from. Mike coached me at Ireland and has supported me in my coaching career. His name has been thrown in but we will have to see.”

His bank account toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.
I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.

Steve Hansen leaving Kiwis after World Cup...... well maybe not everyones cup of tea but for a club with aspirations.....?
Re: Mike Ford is on his way !!
Press comments on Monday last compared the two teams' players favourably but then shook their heads ruefully at the length of the Racing coaches' bench compared to ours, strongly implying this was the reason for any shortfall in performance.

Re: Mike Ford is on his way !!
Rugby Paper reporting that we've interviewed former France coach Dave Ellis for defence coach position.
From Coventry Live:
"He began his career in rugby league, making over 700 appearances for clubs such as Castleford Tigers, Doncaster, Keighley Cougars and Brisbane.
He then switched codes and turned his attentions to coaching in the 15-a-side game when he joined Racing Club de France in 1999.
Ellis became defence coach for the France national side in 2000, a role he held for 11 years.
During that time he won the Six Nations five times (including three Grand Slams) and helped mastermind France's famous victory over New Zealand in the 2007 Rugby World Cup quarter finals before reaching the Rugby World Cup final four years later in New Zealand.
In addition, Ellis worked with the All Blacks during the 2005 British and Irish Lions Tour and coached Tonga for two years between 2012 and 2014."
