Tigers v Racing

Post by ourla »

Holmes could be missing with concussion which would be a blow. And with Smith definitely out I'm guess the likes of Tom Hardwick, George Worth and Jordan Olowofela will be used?

Pack largely as it was with perhaps Thompson starting.

Wonder if we'll go 6-2 again...?

Straw clutching perhaps Racing won't feel they need to win this...!?

I feel we always play better when Guy Edwin P. Thompson is playing

Racing will want a win for sure and they may well have Chavancy and Machenaud available. However, the forecast is cold and wet and if Tigers can make a good start, they could just record their first win for what is it, 7 or 8 matches?

Worth could possibly still be out with concussion from the collision with Dan Cole. Simmonds is injured I believe. Veaniu injured.

Probably means May will play at full back with Olowofela on the wing. Unless Worth has recovered.

Olowofela might still not be fully recovered.

Could be a backline of:

Youngs
G. Ford
Toomua
Tuilagi
May
Thompstone
J.Ford

White, Harrison and Hardwick on the bench or if we go for the 6/2 split again, have White and Hardwick.

If J Ford is at fullback that long awaited win will be put on hold!

I would rather have Darren Garforth at full back

Having a decent boot at full back obviously wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing on a cold, damp December lunchtime...

From Geordan Murphy:

Jonah Holmes had a HIA, he has started his return to play protocol and will hopefully be available if he passes everything but he’s on a tight checklist as it’s important we look after him.”

Matt Smith hyper extended his elbow and dislocated his shoulder so he’ll be out for a while, he’s a big part of the squad, always gives 100% and we will miss his passion.”
