Can't see this happening even if the BoD have made the interest known to Quins? If things stay as they are and the Tigers do find themselves in a relegation fight then any top DoR will probably give WR a wide berth? Given May's comments if there is not 100% buy in to GM then I can only see a fragmented squad and relegation will be more than a possibility?

Nothing against any ex-Tigers player who is now coaching, but there are other good coaches out there who have NEVER played for Tigers... :smt003 :smt002

What we need is.
A coach who has never played for Tigers but knows the club.
Maybe a SH coach with some outside influence.
But has knowledge of the prem
Has won some trophies in the NH
and is available now.

I wonder who fits that profile. :smt017 :smt002

Gustard is coming!! Read all about it!!

Well, it’s another rumour, and I thought that, like all rumours, it deserved some exclamation marks.

Wouldn’t be a bad move though.

Apparently, even though both clubs have denied the Gustard to Tigers story, the story wouldn't have been published had The Rugby Paper not been 100% certain about it.

I suppose it's a case of wait and see.

As has been said Fissler is very rarely this wide of the mark.
Maybe Gustard is not finding the job of DOR to his liking and is thinking of linking up with his old housemates Geordan

Maybe there is truth in the rumour because Paul was interviewed and he said on BT Sport, he was getting up at 4am to be in to work by 7 because he has to drive 75 miles each day twice around the M25...

That soon would leave you knackered ...

I doubt that's the reason. If he isn't enjoying being a DOR, he wouldn't be joining us as a DOR, which is what the rumour is.

I think it would be hard to get him to leave. Quins have a very good core of young players that will only get better. We aren't a prospect that is that attractive comparatively as we require major squad turnover to be competitive.

For quite a few people on here, Tigers aren't an attractive club but there are people who still find it an attractive club to join.

You presume wrong. It's to be the DOR with Murphy staying on as Head Coach.

Or is it now a poisoned chalice and not worth the hassle?

His forte is defence,I'd want him as a working DOR coaching defence or not at all!

I'm sure that as DOR he would still coach the defence.
