I’d be happy with some Exeter players... Lees, Hepburn would be at the top of my list.

It'll probably be Lachie Turner out and Hogg in. I doubt they'd let either of those two players run down their contracts.

Stanko might be able to teach Hepburn how to scrummage reliably though he'd be behind Genge.

:smt005 that's me up with the times then. That would make it far more interesting to see who they cut in order to make room for Hogg then.

Would imagine he is a marquee signing.
White contract is up end of season so one way or the other he will not be the marquee signing anymore.

Jean-Luc du Preez 3 month loan to sale
Dan du Preez 3 month loan to Exeter

Jean-Luc is a seriously talented flanker.

Hoggy going to Chiefs at end of season

gives them a different dimension. .. as if they're not threatening enough already!

If they feel the need to cut anyone, then Phil Dollman is in his mid-30s and probably doesn't have many years left in him. Seems the obvious choice, and it would be a one-for-one swap. Hogg will be on a higher salary, but they have plenty of veteran squad players who could also be let go as they rarely play except for the A side (Moray Low, Greg Holmes and Elvis Taione, for example).

I think they still need a replacement for Steenson, though. He keeps seeing off the competition but he's already 35 and they need to bring in an alternative who can be relied upon. Joe Simmonds is still potential rather than performance.

Agreed. The difference an international 9 or 10 would make to that team is massive. Can you imagine Faf de Klerk behind that pack or Cipriani running that backline. The lack of control in Europe has hurt them this season.

Cipriani does not suit Exeters style of play whatsoever. He would be 11th on the list of Premiership clubs of "clubs that suit Cipriani's style of play' ahead of only Saracens.

It’s more than likely that the ever canny Baxter has recognised they need to evolve their style to stay at least up with the game. Now I wonder where else that SHOULD have been applied at least three seasons ago? :smt017

I'm pretty sure people said similar when he pitched up at Sale. A good coach would integrate him and evolve the attacking options in the side. Baxter is trying to give his team some X factor in attack. He's signed Cordero and now Hogg to spice up the backline. I just think he should look closer in to the action.

Now confirmed that Hogg is signing for Exeter for next season. Campagnaro joining Wasps also with immediate effect.

Great signings for both teams. When fit Campagnaro is one of the best centres going in Europe.

Where? You obviously don't mean Tigers as we have changed our style of play to try and "keep up with the game".

Chris Foy in the Daily Smell reports on problems across the way...

"The dreaded exodus of leading Wasps players is coming to pass, with Elliot Daly, Nathan Hughes and Willie le Roux all now expected to leave the Coventry-based club at the end of the season (for Saracens/Bristol/Japan).

As first revealed by Sportsmail in April, there have been fears about the prospect of stars moving on amid financial uncertainty and unrest relating to sub-standard training facilities."
