Saints third try we need to work on splitting the middle of the maul after the initial shove.

Plus points:
Defence - Much better
Second Row - Immense in defence and attack
Thompson - Great disrupter at the breakdown
Eastmond - What a player!
Replacement props - Fe’ao unlucky to not get Tigers third try, Heyes absolute menace at the scrum
Bateman - Much better in the loose this time

Downers:
Kalamafoni - Had a poor game by his high standards
Mapapalangi - Was unlucky with the maul but he still needs to work on his defence
May and Denton getting injured.

Anything else?

Fords goal kicking is now pretty reliable.

They played for the whole 80 minutes instead of switching off for parts of the game

Hit his head against a Saints player's hip. We'll not see him for a couple of weeks now then you'd imagine. Shame, as he's been a solid performer so far.
I saw Marika Vunibaka play

Hopefully BOC will be back so we can move Thompson across to 6. Having Thompson and BOC in the backrow should make the opposition's life a misery at the breakdown.

Not necessarily as long as a player passes the protocols they can be back within a week j

Only issue with that is it leaves a line out forward down, not sure what the 2nd row availability is but Williams could move to 6 as well as he has been playing in the row

Hoping you're right and also that BO'C returns PDQ. Kalamafoni not at his very best today but he's been pretty reliable. Mapapalangi needs game time - struggled today.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

I thought Kyle Eastmond was incredible today. He and Manu could be a fantastic partnership if they can stay fit.

Looking at the highlights, just noticed Saints players socks. Anyone know the story behind that?

I think it referenced all the local clubs that had supported an auction for Rob Horne - that's a version / explanation i've heard.

further digging...
