I was at the Forum and its brilliant that us supporters are able to pose questions to those presented to us. However, its clear to me that Tigers excercise total control of such events by control and retention of the microphone. I know its a very fine line between control and anarchy but not being allowed to challenge the MP type side stepped replies and then Tigers presenting it is as frank and open discussion, does not sit at all well with me. That said, in fairness, I did manage to get one question in, but try as I may I was not going to be allowed another.

Cohen mentions a couple of times that MOC failed to implement recommendations made by the Board. He does not go into any detail. Sorry if I have missed this in the various threads, but would someone please tell me specifically what these were/are?

I don't believe the details have been released anywhere for public consumption.

It was stated that last seasons results were unacceptable & so were the number of home games lost.
The end of season board meeting identified deficiencies & support but actions were not implemented.
Pre season games, 2 weeks late returning. Presumably the failure of "Objectives in his Personal Appraisal" hence private to him, however I was at Exeter and witnessed too Matt O'Connor singly putting out the training cones and ignoring questions from Tigers fans on the close fence line. His rapport with the other coaches looked strained so I wonder if he predicted the sacking?

Surely for tax reasons - Guernsey resident & days in the country, rather use those days at the games or his board meetings.

What is clear is that MOC was a compromise. He managed to maintain the illusion last season that we had a plan and a direction when clearly to me that was not the case. It seems to me MOC tried to replicate what he did last time he was here but without the lynchpin Cockers and in a different time, situation. It was never going to work. Getting in Bateman helped but just prolonged the agony. I don't know what went on this summer but it seems no ones finger was on the pulse and the patient was not being well looked after.

I think off the field the club is well run in a lot of respects, despite my criticisms of the "match day experience". But playing wise we seem to be stumbling. I don't disagree with Cohen that Cockers/Mauger looked like it should be good on paper. But I think what's happened since hasn't been handled well. They will no doubt be praying Murphy makes it easy for them and makes a good fist of it. And it's certainly possible that he will but one fears for it doesn't.

ourla, if it was you questioning the catering, bars and quality of replica shirts from the front rows then you did open up some facts.
The Centreplate contract has 1 year still to run despite admitting it is a bad deal. Likewise the shirt contract still has another year but their embarrassment was having to cut the collars off the new shirts to hand to the club's sponsors, lack of pre season stock and the low quality of the products.
Cotton Traders where are you - they stretch as you age, not like these contour clinging featherlite shirts of recent seasons.

According to Daily Mail this morning the recommendations that were not followed centred on additions to the coaching team. I assume this means specialist coaches for areas such as defence or an expereinced "consultant". So once Geordan has settled in maybe we will see additions to the coaching staff.

Must say I think we need to get rid of Cohen and Glynn, the continued failure on their part is clear yet obviously with no one person in charge to get rid of these people seems very arduous.

If you look at Glynn's cv how he has got himself into this position is pretty astounding, with no experience that would lead you to believe he should be in charge of rugby operations at such a top club and somehow is unaccountable

As for Cohen who joined the board in 2011 and as CEO has overseen the worst era for Leicester Tigers should categorically move on, he has brought this club down to mid table levels and again is obviously unaccountable

Your last point puzzles me. Cohen has overseen some major improvements and developments. He doesn't coach the team, scout or anything else except say what can be done financially, at the BoD's direction. The outsourcing of kit is an issue but as with match day drink etc, it's common practice to do so, though many big corps are useless, as evidenced at many other grounds.
