Be interesting to see how Thacker goes at scrum time with a new club.

Im sorry about the Crane digs. I don't mean any disrespect, anyone who plays the game at any level gets mine! I just don't rate him is all,but that's just my opinion.

Financial security? That's why he headed to Bristol, three year deal for a 30 year old and at good money was an obvious choice. Especially when you consider his previous with knee injuries.Rugbyflanker wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 4:59 pm Crane? There is a reason he went into the Championship you know!
It was those knee problems that robbed him of his pace and any real mobility. Pre injury he was bound to be an international, post injury he is a club level workhorse.

Luke Hamilton starts at blindside (his correct position MOC ) for Edinburgh in a tasty backrow alongside Mata and Hamish Watson for Edinburgh.

Why are you blaming MOC?
Cockerill and Mauger both played him at 7 and 8.
End of the day he is a jack of all trades master of none back row and we had too many of them as it was.

Who remembers former Tigers' scrum half Christophe Laussuq, who played a handful of games in the 2007/8 season before retiring?
Currently, he's coach at Mont de Marsan in ProD2, who'll be among the favourites for promotion this season, and he's just been appointed head coach of Agen in the Top14 from next season, where the great Philippe Sella is Director of rugby.
However, Agen are going to find it tough to stay in the Top14, as the were stuffed 67-23 at Clermont in this season's first round of matches.

They played him at 8 because they had to, we had no one else really apart from McAffrey, but I don’t recall them playing him at 7.RagingBull wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 10:29 amWhy are you blaming MOC?

We talking about Hamilton? He played at 7 a few times for us

Not under Mauger and Cockerill, not that I recall sorry I should have made that clear originally but I was in a rush.Rugbyflanker wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 4:57 pm We talking about Hamilton? He played at 7 a few times for us
