Could do with trying to sign a proper Super rugby player on a short term deal till Jan, similar to RJVR and sale last season on top of Mercer potentially.

We where being linked with Montero a while ago I think, It was a argentine winger I know that.
Seems to be out in the wilderness a bit now but he had some size about him might be a good cheap pick up at only 26.

Maybe Karmichael Hunt if Australia still doesn't want to play ball with him, MOC knows him and covers a lot of positions, maybe offer him a 1 year deal and sell it as a way for him to potentially play himself into the wallabies team if he has a good season (As he could do a toomua and sign for a super team after the prem finishes).

Manasa Mataele but NZRFU are prob looking at him since he isn't tied to a nation yet.
Tevita Li career has stalled alot since he first came onto the scene.
Patrick Osborne
Another option maybe Hosea Saumaki don't think he can play for Japan either.

Just spit balling i'm not an agent.
Montero and Tevita Li would be good pickups, Osborne had been linked to Saints although i'm not sure anything was confirmed

Would also love to see Melani Nanai at Tigers if we are looking for an extra wing/fullback

It would be nice for the club to give a hint on injuries......it's worse than North Korea at times.
If BOC & Evans are due back soon I wouldn't sign anyone, give Reffell a chance, if only we had a hooker in the squad who plays 7 as well......
To win is not as important as playing with style!

As a third choice for the positions it's a fair point, however I am led to believe from reading on here that he desired to be first choice at hooker.

So rumours are that Kalamafoni, Mapapalangi, O’Connor, Thompson and Evans are all injured on social media. How is that possible? More than just bad luck surely when the season hasn’t even started.

Plus why can’t the club just come out and officially announce these injuries?

If all those players miss Chiefs we could be looking at a 40 point loss!

It's all Cockerill's fault. He works them too hard in training...... oh, hang on a minute!

Rank average. Guy Thompson can cover and we also have Reffell. Any news on when Evans and O'Connor will be back? I don't see the point in signing Mercer, he's never looked like anything more than squad filler at AP level.

As he was for England, Ireland and the B&I Lions (midweek team 2005)?

Just because he held these posts doesn't mean he was any good at them.
I think he's a little similar to Robinson. Good coach ill equipped to be the main man. Bath were fantastic in their first season, the handling of the Burgess situation and his inability to get the squad back on side ruined his tenure there. At Toulon he couldn't manage the big names at the club.
He's better than we've got when they're all injured! At least he can play for us!

Sometimes injuries do just happen.
Anthony Watson did his ACL catching an american football.
Not heard Kalamafoni is injured that would be a big blow.

The club has a few of reasons why it doesn't announce injuries.
1. Negotiations
2. Doesn't show our entire hand

Is Mapapalangi injured, or is the likely explanation that him and Fe’ao haven’t featured in preseason yet because they have been on international duty this summer?
Formerly of Burbaaage (not Inkleh), now up north at uni
