Bit harsh by some people for dropping Kitchener in their teams for next season. Granted he didn’t have his best season for us last year, but is still a core player of the pack. Ball carrying has never been his strong point, but behind Kalamafoni he normally topped the tackle stats. Plus he has the speed to make some big covering tackles and he’s crucial in the lineout. Plus with Genge, Kalamfoni, Denton and Spencer as the carriers the pressure will be off him.

Think him and Spencer would make a great pairing, as looking at the training pictures, Spencer is a big unit. Williams as the lock cover off the bench.

I don’t think it matters whether you play the lineout operator or the enforcer at 4 or 5, for my club they play the lineout operator (me) at 4 and the enforcer at 5. I don’t think it particularly matters unless it’s something to do with the scrum and the leg drive.

Hills still with us.
Think there is also Cameron Jordan, Henri Jordan and Taylor Gough.

Should always have your best scrummaging lock behind your TH JP but other than that numbers tend not to matter now.

Rugbyinsideline saying Macken to tigers.

Wonder where they got that rumour?
Although I guess it proves the rumour is false.

Eggchasers podcast have tweeted this

"Hello all.

Small off season roumor.

Toomua back to Australia to play tri nations.

He's signed for rebels for their next season although it's unclear if he will be back for 18/19 or 19/20"

Chekia said in an interview a while back, that if Toomua sign a pre contract with an Australian team he would be available for the World Cup squad, but I thought he signed a 2 year contract this season so I would have thought it would be the 20/21 season.

If it's true it needs to be sorted quick so we can get a new FH in for when/if MT/GF are away at the same time.

Owen is definitely good enough but do we trust his fitness? J.Ford is reserve AWC level but could we take a punt on Hardwick?
Edit: Missed out Worth too. With the RWC coming up I suppose we have to blood these guys sooner or later.

We will be fine for four weeks a season with Hardwick and Worth as our flyhalf options with Joe Ford if its it really, really necessary.

We are assuming that GF's England career and prospects are still live?

We will see.
The latest rumour was that Chieka was going to try to shoehorn him into the Squad by getting him to sign a deal with a Aus team for the 20/21 season.
I certainly don't see him leaving this season as he has just moved back from Aus to UK which if he was planning on staying in Aus this season would make no sense other than to build air miles.
If he goes 19/20 he will be missed BUT with it being after the world cup there should be quite alot of players on the market and with his Marquee spot I would back us to get a good replacement.

So far the development squad is looking like next season from what I can tell.
Hookers: Mahoney
Props: Grahamslaw, Heyes, Hills Lines
Locks: Jordan, Lewis
Back Row: Gough, Lavin, Reffell, Smith, Tuilagi
Scrum Half: Simmons, White
Fly Half: Hardwick
Centre: Thacker
Wing: Olowofela
Full Back: Worth

Would imagine 1 or 2 players that I have missed as well.
