Backs:
Elliot Daly
Jonny May
Henry Trinder
Piers Francis
Mike Brown
George Ford
Ben Youngs

Forwards:
Joe Marler
Jack Singleton
Kyle Sinckler
Elliott Stooke
Joe Launchbury
Chris Robshaw
Tom Curry
Zach Mercer

Replacements:
George McGuigan
Ellis Genge
Nick Schonert
Josh Beaumont
Mark Wilson
Dan Robson
Danny Cipriani
Denny Solomona
What is the point of having Brown on the wing, every man and his dog knows what Brown offers, no pint to him being in the team, should have started Solomona and put Woodward on the bench so we could see what our only actual fullback offers as oppose to playing a centre or fly half there. Thought Genge would start over Marlar, but other than that forwards are about what I expected. It shows how we’re struggling for inside centres when Francis makes the team every saints fan I work with repacking he’s been one of their worst players.

Ah but he fits the Eddie Jones mould.

Southern Hemisphere player that is qualified for England.

Not like we've got good, young 12s in the English game. :smt012

"Has Eddie Jones’ England bubble burst?

Suddenly facing the Barbarians may be his most important match yet. What used to be an end-of-season jolly to boost the RFU’s coffers now takes on a far greater deal of importance after England’s run of three straight defeats and Paul Gustard’s exit."

Whilst I'm not convinced about his ability Francis was born in England and raised here, he moved to NZ at 18 after leaving the Sarries academy. He returned to the UK for a forgettable spell at Edinburgh at one stage as well.

Anyone who learnt their trade at Old Gravesendians and Maidstone Rugby Clubs is obviously a SH bred import! :smt003 He had a bit of time in the Championship immediately before or after Edinburgh too. Obviously a Kiwi. :smt003

Daly at fullback, Robshaw at 6, decent second row, surprised to see Genge on the bench but overall I’m happy with the selection apart from Marler, Brown and Francis.

Really pleased about Trinder and Schonert on the bench. He’s a quality tighthead prop who could wonders here if we could get him!

At least as much as that World Cup winning 'Kiwi' John Gallagher'....

whose son has turned out a few times for the Sorries.

(Just for the record, Old G's were always cerap but Maidstone used to be a fairish town side.)

I must have missed whatever it is Piers Francis has done to deserve a start at 12. Brown on the wing is a pointless selection too.
I saw Marika Vunibaka play

I am becoming foozled by some of EJ's selections.

Watching the Exeter Sarries game, does anyone else think for England Slade is overrated, whilst Lozowski is criminally underrated and deserves more time in the white shirt?

Pundits rave about Slade but I always think he’s never as great as they make out. He was quality leading up to the last World Cup but since his leg injury has never looked the same player.
