Post by RagingBull »

As is Steve Mafi.
But both Kalamafoni and Veainu get a rest this summer.

Are you certain that Mafi is coming back? All year the sources & rumours couldn't decide on whether he's staying in Castres or returning to us! :smt003

Any news on Pakalani's future?
I think we're in need of another dynamic back 3 player, plus a hard running centre. Couple of Pacific Islanders, Pakalani could resolve the former if fit.

That’s a shame, but an injury hampered his chance and obviously he doesn’t want to stay. :smt012

Think more of a case of us letting him go.

Might be a mistake in my opinion then. Could of really shone in Vieanu’s absense if he hadn’t of suffered a knee injury. I might have to change my signature to I saw Afa Pakalani play! 😂😂

nearly 3 years ago. Some people think theres some kind of way he could still represent England..

Stranger things have happened. Cooper Vuna, CJ Stander etc.

As far as I know there is no way possible Veainu can play for England, the loophole Tim Nanai-Williams (and Vuna to my knowledge) used has been shut, Stander wasn't tied in by SA at any point either so was always free to play for another country

I mean I'm sure there are other loopholes we don't know about but I'd be highly surprised if they were used, the other common thing is players who have switched allegiances have switched down rather than up (NZ to Samoa, Aus to Tonga), I'm sure the press would go ballistic if England were seen to be stealing capped Island talent
