No it’s a fact, Wasps backline have averaged more tries than ours this season. Plus they have got decent centre back ups.ellis9 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 6:54 pmWhy are they better? What have they done for Wasps that ours haven't done for Tigers?Rugbyflanker wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 6:49 pm Who said it was?! Just pointing out their backs are a better unit. FACT!
By the way, what you said wasn't a fact, it was definitely an opinion.

I was a champion of Ackerman for a good while after watching what he accomplished with the Lions.

No. It's an opinion. As I've said before, stats don't tell the whole story. In the late 90's and early 2000's when we won 4 in a row, did our backs score more tries? No. Neil Back and our forwards scored the most. It didn't mean our backs were not as good as other teams.JP14 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 6:56 pmNo it’s a fact, Wasps backline have averaged more tries than ours this season. Re: Us or them?
I'd say both clubs are in a strong position, and to be honest I wouldn't be overly upset if Tigers moved to another city.
With regards to Gloucester, I think the verdict is still out on this season - if they finish 7th and don't beat Cardiff then for me they haven't made any meaningful progress. If they grab 4th and beat Cardiff then it's a big leap forwards. Anything in between those two scenario's and it's a good season but nothing special.

So if Tigers moved 80 miles north to Sheffield, it wouldn't bother you?! Wow!Tiglon wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:41 pm I'd say both clubs are in a strong position, and to be honest I wouldn't be overly upset if Tigers moved to another city.

Re: Us or them?
It's not funny. Losing Wasps from the premiership (which is very possible if these rumours are true and they start to spiral) isn't a good thing for the sport. There are barely enough teams that can sustain professional rugby as it is.ellis9 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 11:13 pmTheRock wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 11:11 pm http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyu ... ssion=true

Re: Us or them?
If it was any other club I'd agree but the reason they gave for them moving to Coventry was so that they could still exist as a club. Clearly, they are just badly run so probably deserve to be in trouble. If they had just spent within their means, all of this could have been avoided.

Speaking as someone who lives in the Hinckley area, I think it's hilarious!Cardiff Tig wrote: ↑Thu Apr 26, 2018 8:11 amIt's not funny.ellis9 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 11:13 pmTheRock wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 11:11 pm http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyu ... ssion=true

And if we're worried about sides that can be sustainable in the premiership, it seems they can't.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….
Re: Us or them?
It's going to take one or two instances like this to put the reigns on the overspending in England. When the sugar daddies up and leave, the sustainable models of clubs like Exeter and the Tigers will come to the fore.
