Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
Saints scored every time they went into our half. We had the vast majority of possession and territory yet were very wasteful. If only Toomua had made that pass outwide. Youngs was shocking.

For some reason we seem to play better against good teams, and we play poorer against lesser quality teams...hopefully this augers well for the remaining matches!
At least my Saints mate should be happy, as that puts them beyond threat of relegation...

I have just had to be pleasant to a Northampton fan.
This is abominable and I am writing to the club to complain.
They had a superb defence, I actually thought Sir did not have a shocker (so I can't cheat and complain about that), Tigers made more errors than a particularly error prone six year old trying their damnedest to teach tensor physics to a series of other particularly difficult six year olds. I am not pleased.
Due to some incisive running, I thought Tigers might pull off the "last ten minutes Lazarus", but it was not to be. An obstruction away from glory. Newcastle and Enya are must wins, obviously.
Losing Gibson seems, at least this time, to have been an error.

Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
That was an appalling performance. Played like it was a pre season friendly and all they had to do was to urn up.
Butchering tries by being greedy.
Tacking treated as frankly optional.
Quite frankly our captain was so far off form we might as well have given them the ball back.
As for the rucks - the back row seemed to be on holiday. When Toomua dived on a ball in the loose our nearest two players just watched while he tried to get up with opposition players bearing down on him.
Today's performance wasn't bad it was frankly embarrassing and they should apologise to the fans and probably to Saints for being so disrespectful.
It was like the Worcester defeat but without the effort.

Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
Tom Youngs was awful - when we have a Hooker as good as Polota why on earth is Youngs starting ahead of him . The lineout returned to the chaos of early Season , the Scrum alternated between good and a shambles and our back row was nowhere at the breakdown - we need BOC or Evans to start . As for the tackling - revolving doors spring to mind . When the Coaching team can't even get the kicking tee on quickly you know we have problems .
Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
Feared this would be a loss Tigers to complacent, weak defense, could not keep the ball, could not tackle, could not convert gift try opportunities, could not win an attacking line out, could not get a kicking tee on the pitch.
Carley is out of his depth he is incompetent at worst a clown at best.
Rant over we are back to square 1, we are exactly where we were 5 games ago and it will be a miracle if we make top 4.

Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
Unfair to blame the ref. Today's defeat was solely down to Tigers' incompetence in handling a fired up opposition.sapajo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 6:20 pm Feared this would be a loss Tigers to complacent, weak defense, could not keep the ball, could not tackle, could not convert gift try opportunities, could not win an attacking line out, could not get a kicking tee on the pitch.

Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
Yes nothing to do with the ref! He was actually quite good at times, picking up on things others would miss. Blame Kitchener,Worth and Kalamafoni among others for just doing dumb things!
Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
Too many players standing off a waiting for others to hit the breakdown. Mapalangi being one of the worst, front-row are having to do too much, scrum, lifting in line-out, main ball carriers, clearing out, tackling....
