Poor performance by Tom Youngs but also stupid penalties given away at critical times.

OTY poor, but overall team poor. Lots of chances butchered, and poor defence. Great defence from Saints TBF.

Abysmal. Absolutely abysmal.
The inaccuracy today was quite breath taking. We gifted Saints pretty much every single one of their points and we were hopeless in attack. So disappointing.

Fourth gone now,oh well let's make sure we get top 6 and I hope people are starting to see the true George Ford now, possibly the worlds most overrated FH.

Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
Worst performance of the season for me.
Looked like they thought they just needed to turn up for the 5 points and were out fought and out thought for the vast majority of the game.
Cole poor, Tom Youngs awful, Ford was ok in open field but missed kicks, Kitchener poor as was the line out throughout, Back row out played bar Kalamafoni, Toomua was terrible and butchered at least 2 tries, May was poor and TV shackled pretty well.
None of the above are bad players but combined they were all off colour and you won’t win many games with so many playing badly.

Oh and the discipline was shocking throughout the game.

Don’t know guess whilst your lads had a rest last week ours had to play Bath.....Smudger67S wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 5:05 pm Where were these 50 points you were going to put on us???
Shocking game, played way to lose and set piece poor.
Still have fourth place Falcons to play on that showing we will lose but if we can regroup we can still do it.

Never nice to be proved right when you lose. I had a bad feeling about the game all weekDeadlyDunc wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 9:11 am I’m more worried about this game than some others recently. The fact it is at home gives me confidence but whilst I hope I’m wrong I’d doubt there will be more than 2 scores in it at the end.
And I’m usually optimistic!

OTY may be the captain but TPN should start the next game as he's a better player. Simple as.
Big call I know but I think we'd have won of TPN had started the match.

What a mess. Continual line-out mistakes lost the game, and blew the season I am afraid. I simply don’t understand why player changes weren’t made sooner?
Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
To me Ford was not on his game. This could have been the match where we reverted to a single 10 in Tomua but with centre resources depleted with no Manu or Tait the hand may have been forced. The other gamble that may have been worth it would have been to play Youngs and Worth from the start. Pardon the pun.
Philosophical at the moment. General play at times this season meant to me at least we are where we deserve to be. So called easy games given up means you have to win the difficult ones.

TPN for OTY. YBY and Worth to start with Matt Tomua at 10?
We don't do the horses for courses selections very well on occasion.

Re: Tigers v Saints predictions
It hasn't.
It was a 2017 performance and we got what we deserved. A lot of hysteria on here and elsewhere - understandably because it hurts when you lose a derby - but if we play our '2018 game' for the last two games, we'll make 4th.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO
