Major announcement on Harlequins coaching expected imminently.
Update: John Kingston says, “It is with a very heavy heart, that I will be leaving Harlequins at the end of this season."

Not a surprise given their form and inconsistency.strawclearer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 2:31 pm Major announcement on Harlequins coaching expected imminently.

Return for O’Shea perhaps, or maybe a return for Lancaster to these shores

Hoorah, finally the man has seen some sense. Lancaster possibly as he has worked with a lot of Harlequins and seemed to be a favourite of his. Mallinder? No. O’Shea? No. I reckon they might get someone from New Zealand (you know the deal between NZRU and Quins). Do you think that Rowntree is safe?

I would imagine Rowntree, Evans and Easter could all be at riskJP14 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 3:48 pm Hoorah, finally the man has seen some sense. I think the Quins /All Blacks link up is a good shout. Expect a strong kiwi influence on the new coaching setup there.
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17
Easter is definitely at risk because Quins defence has been Super Rugby-style nonexistent but I’d keep Rowntree and Evans, when Harlequins have played well they have scored some good tries plus Evans is a great mentor for Marcus Smith. I’d imagine Mark Mapletoft is going to goMark62 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 4:17 pmI would imagine Rowntree, Evans and Easter could all be at riskJP14 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 3:48 pm Hoorah, finally the man has seen some sense. Not that anyone on here would care particularly but I have a sneaky suspicion that Harlequins’ deal with Adidas is also unlikely to be renewed/terminated.

Re. John Kingston, it's always sad to see the Peter Principle hurt someone's career. Most of us will readily accept promotion when, in reality, we should say "No - I've reached my level of competence; I'm good at what I do but don't promote me."
Hope he gets back to doing what he's best at!
