Re: The Clash
It's not Tigers fixture to promote, it's a Barf Home fixture.
Personally I don't agree with it, I believe playing at HQ should be reserved for finals and internationals.

Re: The Clash
I agree with having high-profile games at Twickenham as it gets more people through the turnstiles and closes the gap between rugby stadia attendances and football stadia.

Yeah, but when they do their best to ruin your day out it does put a downer on things.Chobbsy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 12:56 pmI don't care as long as we get the winHot_Charlie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 8:23 pmMore people through the turnstiles doesn't necessarily mean good news.

Re: The Clash
It wasn't. But the kids found the novelty of drunken yoofs spilling beer on them every 10 minutes as they try to clamber around the stadium holding another four pints for them and their mates soon wears off. The previous trip (with just one child) got a bit tiresome too when the increasingly drunk bloke behind me decided that, as I was without spouse on the day, that she must be at home "doing something" (he used fruitier language to describe it) with someone else - and he didn't take the hint to shut up.
Hence I have a low regard for HQ and some of the dimwits that inhabit it. I do however realise than I'm in that terrible minority who actually go to watch the rugby and not get off my face at £5 /pint. I also detest the stupid dullard music then insist on playing at every opportunity during the match.
Re: The Clash
Why is that Twickenham's fault? It was a Bath home game, so you would have gotten the same at the Rec. Even down to the music and announcements, that is all done by the Bath set up.
Very much like with London Irish and the PA announcements of "Come on you Irish"
Twickenham is the venue, hired by Bath, Irish, Saracens or who ever decides to play there.

Re: The Clash
Have you thought about switching it around and playing the wife at inside centre and one of the kids at fly half instead? Might be good for their development to take on that extra responsibility.
