He should never of been rehired, but unless we fail to get Top 6, I doubt the board will act.
If we continue as per last 2 games it will be good, improvement even better, but feel this will of been a wasted season.
Sadly, this will be what happens to MOC - exactly nothing.

Salvi seems to think Thompson should be playing for England at 7.
England don't play with a traditional 7 though. We have looked far better when we've had someone on the park capable of attacking the breakdown. The Hamilton at 7 experiment didn't work earlier in the season and neither did the one 6, two 8 trial.

We could change our tactics for next season but if you don't have a natural 7 you generally need a hard press in defence to drive the opposition back and force errors. We've never had a blitz defence previously.

Not sure Hamilton at 7 was an experiment more a situation forced on MOC when Evans and BOC were unavailable through illness or injury. Matt O Connor is gradually getting a team together that he thinks can play winning rugby in the style he wants, whatever happens between now and the end of this season it is the early part of next season that he will be judged on as after releasing a few players and signing replacements we will really get the chance to see in what direction our team is heading.

Swap one useless Aussie coach for another? Wouldn't be much point.

Anyway the EJ illusion has fallen away. And all this garbage about Finishers? What England need are some Starters!

Met and talked at length to a famous Australian Coach ex UK Club and National Coach at Maroochydore this week... he was absolutely scathing about our Eddie and listed everywhere he has caused a trail of damage.

Pity he's not now as then we could return him.

Perhaps England need a new saviour :smt017
Any suggestions? Or is the truth that it is just mismanaged selection? Starting to smell like Stubert, is EJ.

This is beginning to sound like a wendyball forum, lose a couple of games and sack the coach! No-one was saying that EJ was not up to it before the 6 Nations and the criticism of MOC will go quiet if we start next season well.
