Think the reason they sent him to Toulon was so he'd come back to Bath fit and ready "refreshed after a long battle back form injury". His contract is up summer 2019. Can't see him leaving Bath this summer imo, but he would be exactly the player we need

I'm sure it was on the Eggchasers Podcast that I heard the theory that Bath were in danger of breaching the salary cap, so off loaded Attwood (and his salary payments for the remainder of the season) via a loan agreement.

As sensational as the theory is, I'm sure it is something much more straight forward.

That seems a bit bizarre/hilarious - but I suppose stranger things have happened. And nothing would surprise me with Bath and the salary cap...

Re the "official" reason, that still just seems so odd. Let him have two weeks in Dubai and then go to a Champ club on loan surely?! Anyway, let's hope it's part of a wider "he's out of favour" and we could benefit...

Brookes is supposed to be heading to Wasps to replace Marty Moore.

Hill has stagnated a little this season. A move to utilise a top quality scrum coach and international mentor might be good for him. He'd certainly help our squad.

Hold it for him, do you mean?

I'd take Paul Hill in a heartbeat. Good in the scrum and around the park.

He's still only 22, so young for a prop and lots of potential to develop. I think players who break through with England young are often easy targets for criticism when they fall out the squad. He's a very talented tighthead who needs for time in the Prem to learn his craft.

Given he came through Otley, Darlington and Carnegie he can't be shy of graft like Brookes either. The lower leagues are tough proving grounds for tight five forwards.

Hill played in the same England U20 side as Genge, so shows how early he broke through to the senior side. Definitely be an interesting option to replace Cilliers.

If Irish go down I'd look at getting James Marshall in as a utility back, Arno Bortha wouldn't be a bad pickup either

I'd rather develop Worth as our utility back. Cheaper to help the salary cap and he's been good for us this season.

Johnny Williams the inside centre or Cockasinga the massive quick winger (don't think he's 20 yet) would be better additions. With Tait and Brady possibly off they'd fill out the squad nicely.

I watched that and thought the same of Botha, he was a monster. Is he only on a short term contract with them?

Hopefully today's result is a sign of things to come and we won't need to sign any of these players. I think we have a good squad who have lacked quality coaching!
