Personally I hope MOC turns out to be a roaring success. I hope him and Bakewell get on well and together get the team performing. I don't know how good the group of players we have now are or can be. I'd like to find out under these coaches if possible.

How is it in anyway supportive to be hoping for our head coach to fail. Surely by definition we should all be hoping for things to start clicking and for Matt O'Connor, Simon Cohen et al to enjoy many successful trophy filled years at the club. It is one thing to voice disappointment but if you are at the point that you actually wish things to get worse why don't you leave those of us who still care passionately for the club in peace.

I agree but I think there's a feeling that, if this Coach (MO'C) is going to fail (as many feel he will), the quicker it happens, the better. A quick 'end' would be better for the Club than a slow, lingering one. Or, as the Bard put it...

Plenty of players and coaches have given him rave reviews such as Borthwick, Flatman and Crane. So why don’t we let him get on with his job and give him time to fix things. Seems so many people have already made their mind up on Bakewell without knowing anything about him and almost seemingly wanting him to fail.

Back to the Bakewell appointment, he does seem to have a good reputation but if you've watched the Bristol pack over the couple of years they have been under him, they have really struggled at set piece, particularly at scrum time. Even on a 15 match unbeaten run in the championship this season, their tight 5 is nowhere near good enough and is consistently under pressure. Hopefully he will be a roaring success and we can see a revitalised Tigers pack just on the basis that there will be a fresh voice guiding them.

Looking at the their tight 5 I would say not even a miracle could improve them currently. Hence why Bristol are bringing in a lot of forwards already for next season.

3 of Ealing props are being linked to prem clubs, the championship would put up a good fight against a lot of prem packs.

Have to agree, Bakewell's role will be to get the pack functioning in many areas, but the scrum will still be Boris's role, so Bristol's scrum worries aren't that much of a concern.

It is a strange fact that the best (or more successful coaches) have the best players. a forwards coach or a new coach may have to work with the players he is given rather than the players he wants. I know some will say a good coach will get the best out of he players he has but if that best is just not good enough he has to be able to change players he has for ones better able to play the way he wants them to.

I think he may have had some input in the fact that Rizzo is on the bench ahead of Traynor, or MOC actual read fans feedback and took it into account
