Signed from Bristol today.
Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
Been a coach of many teams, very good write up!
Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
Excellent acquisition our forwards seem to have lost their mojo recently lets hope Mark can drill them into a better shape for the last few matches of the season.

It would be difficult to make difference before starting!
Not heard of the chap previously but seems to be well thought of. Hope he adds some real bite back in!

Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
Simon Cohen said at the beginning of the forum on Tuesday that back when he was an agent and represented Steve Borthwick, Steve had said that Mark Bakewell was the best forwards coach he had ever worked with and I presume he knows a thing or two about such matters.

The Open Forum said that he was starting yesterday

Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
He was actually at training on Tuesday, mostly observing and introducing himself but also making a contribution. Had a very brief conversation (he was mostly talking to Rory Underwood) but he seems like a nice guy.
Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
Certainly seems a quality acquisition but I’m still worried there’s no one in the coaching team that is driving and inspiring the team to strive to do better

Let’s hope that the very fact that he’s arrived will mean the starting 8 and others will be pushing that bit harder to impress.
Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
Lets hope they feel he is somebody worth impressing as it has looked like MOC isn't
I'm not cynical just experienced
Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
Mark has a three year contract and his son Jess joins him too, Jess was previously Bristol's Equipment Assistant on training & match days - Is that the touchflags & post pads?

Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
Interesting that MOC has never worked with him.
Will be interesting to see how the relationship goes.
Could be a game-changer, could be nothing.

Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell
Or it could be a smart move looking to offload MOC without calamitous consequences.......
