I was annoyed we didn't make more of an effort to sign him last summer. He plays 10 and 12 and is a decent goal kicker. Very good AP level player who would be a bigger name if not for injuries. Wuss's failure to sign him to a significant deal should be our gain. For me he's the ideal understudy to Ford and Toomua whilst the academy lad learns his trade. Joe Ford has failed to inspire and is an emergency substitute and not an Eddie Jones style "finisher". You'd be more confident of Mills replacing a tired starter and adding impetus as well as allowing rotation.

Bath Rugby's longest serving player Matt Banahan, is out of contract at the end of this 17/18 season, and rumours have it he is looking for a change.

The 30 year-old winger has spent his entire career with Bath, but it seems he won't be going too far afield, 50 miles up the road to Gloucester on a 3 year deal.

Rumour was he signed a new contract 5 years ago , which had a decrease in salary from his previous contract and the new contract he's been offered recently is for the same salary as his current salary .... Not surprised he's peeved off

Rugby papers reporting both Stanton’s and Toulon trying to sign falatau even though he still has a season left on his contract. Sums talked about are £500,000 release fee and £800,000 a year from Toulon how are as usual rumoured with everyone kaino, sander. Also supposedly Gloucester have beat wasps to sign Jaco Kriel after a stint in Japan.

Jaco Kriel is a beast! Gonna make a bold statement and back Gloc to finish above us next season ,Ackerman is light years ahead of MOC as a coach

That’s disappointing I was looking forward for him to play against England in June. Bit ironic of Ackerman to be contributing to his own country’s exodus of players

I wonder if that is the first step that paves the way for Dai Young to take over from Gatland after the next RWC.

Other rabid fans and I have had a similar conversation, centering around whether Ackermann is the real deal (so far he seems to be) and whether MOC is up to it (as a previous sceptic I have yet to be convinced). Not often agreeing with Scott11!

From a watcher of SR JG he is the real deal. The Lions were in dissarray but he built a team based on the Kiwi flair but kept the Bokke power. Ive seen them take the Kiwi sides to pieces with an incredible brand of rugby with some top players in Marx,Kriel,Ackermann JR,Whitely,Faf,Jantjes,Van Rensburg,Mapoe,Combrick etc. If Ackermann wasnt white he would be SA coach 😜. But jokes aside the comparison is night and day. Now i want every Tigers fan to answer the question very honestly. Did MOC get the gig on merit or because hed been here before? I know the answer!
