Rumoured that Scottish second row Jonny Gray has signed for Bristol for £400,000 p.a. and that Gloucester prop John Afoa may have come to an agreement to sign with them next season. (Rugby Inside Line is the source, so.........)

Where is Bristol getting all this money from? Gray is worth the £400,000 but Newcastle learnt 20 years ago that you can't necessarily pay your way to the Premiership long-term

Bristol are owned by a Billionaire so this is just a drop in the water compared to what they could be doing if there was no cap

Denny Solomona is in discussions with Wasps. Nothing set in stone yet. Denied by the player!

Sources in France saying that Finn Russell has apparently signed a 'letter of intention' for Racing92 as a replacement for Dan Carter. Inevitable? Will Hogg be next?

Now confirmed: http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/news/17/ ... end-season

As far as im aware there is no cap in the Championship but they would have to abide by the cap once promoted

Thanks kpj, therefore there is nothing to stop said billionaire owner throwing signing on bonuses etc at these players before they come under the salary cap

I'm licking my lips at the prospect of Rohan Janse van Rensburg's Sale debut against Saints as much as I suspect Saints fans were hoping he'd do a number on us last week!

Northampton are losing North!
Does that mean we call Saints "Hampton", or maybe Littlehampton is more suitable :smt002

Quality player, of course, but not sure he was ever going to get enough quality ball to have an impact that matched his pay. Hope he does well back home and, above all, avoids another k.o./concussion. I doubt the medics will let him take too much more damage before suggesting he calls it a day.

I'm guessing most supporters would rather have that calibre in the form of a prop. Wouldn't we all!
