Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
I think Tigers could experiment with a centre combo of Thacker and Owen. Genge can come off the bench and so can Fitzgerald.

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
So Manu’s return is being talked up but he actually hasn’t started running until this week. Assuming he doesn’t suffer any reaction to increased levels of training we won’t see him for the Munster games except perhaps as an ‘impact’ sub - a dangerous ploy if the guy you are covering has to go off early doors.
The others are clearly progressing and we’ll see some if not all (there’s no detail re Toomua), sometime soon.
Smoke, mirrors, etc

Thacker not there yet Owen to start with either Tait or Smith

I think tait and smith to start they’ve earned that with Owen to come on as an impact for 20mins, do want to rush him back and pick up another injury. Would like to see homles get the start over maluf he’s played well but had a lot game time and I think homles has shown enough to start in the premiership and has also played a lot of games with joe ford.
Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
Maloof has been excellent for us and I see no reason to promote Holmes yet . Personally I would go with Smith and Tait in the centres with Worth at 15 . If Owen is indeed fit perhaps then move Tait to 15 , but he only lasted 10 mins last time out . Genge must start !
Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
From the little I've seen of Sale on TV they are playing a very forward oriented game, the ball rarely getting more than one pass from the breakdown. Tigers will need forwards who can tackle all day if needed.
Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
Not really in my opinion, I know he has been released early but has fewer days rest than other players and therefore I think he should be used as an impact sub

But he can only have played about 10-15 minutes on Saturday. MInd you I think Greg deserves a start. A half each?

And yet, according to some, he should now be 1st choice for England over Mako and Marler.....

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
You have to think Genge will start.
As for his England place, I think most would agree Mako is number 1 with Genge hot on his heels - certainly in my view ahead of Marler......

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
Does anyone actually know who will be available for selection this weekend?
What players may be returning from our Tongan contingent? Genge is back but anyone else?
I suspect we may know more about the injured players today, Tigers generally have a press day on Wednesday and hopefully we should know more about Mike W and Owen. Are there other injuries (not including Manu)? Logo?
As for Genge, I would start him, as I think he will be starting for England v Samoa, so let's use him whilst we can.

Reckon we might have Veainu and Mapapalnagi back.
Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
Luke Hamilton on bench for Scotland - congrats Luke.
Ye saw a pic on Telusa's twitter feed which appears to have been taken today with him and Mapapalangi in it so hopeful.

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
That would be brilliant if true, could make the difference between 4 or 5 points quite easily.
