Tigers v Sale Sharks
I’m getting bored with the prolonged I said you said discussion on the Bath thread, so thought I’d start this.
Not even going to try and guess a team as don’t know who’s available, returning from injury, released from international duty etc.
As good as they were I can’t see many of the Friday night team in the starting 15 with the exception of Wells, Holmes and Thompstone

Wells, O’Connor and Evans in the back row?
That’s a bit left field

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
Wells has blindside experience and is very abrasive,BOC has played 8 a lot for us and is an excellent link player. Him v Tuilagi is a no brainer. Evans is a proper 7. My only worry is it's light in carrying especially with that second row so Williams at 6 would make more sense.
Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
1 Bateman
2 Youngs
3 Cilliers
4 Barrow
5 Wells
6 Williams
7 Evans
8 O’Connor
9 Harrison
10 J Ford
11 Thompstone
12 C Thacker (I wouldn’t risk Toomua just yet)
13 Owen (Don’t know if he is fit)
14 Malouf
15 Holmes
16 Thacker
17 Traynor
18 Baumann
19 Kitchener
20 Tuilagi
21 White
22 Hardwick
23 Tait
In my XV, Wells, Evans, Thacker, Thompstone and Homes have all earned their place in my opinion.
For the bench, for me Hardwick is a fantastic goal kicker and I think his organisation will grow with talented flyhalves such as the Ford brothers around him, I've gone for White thought him and Simmons have been excellent but White has premiership experience, Tuilagi for me is growing in confidence every time and I will love to see him make an impact off the bench.
I hope that Stankov has been doing extra scrums with Baumann he needs to improve in that area in my opinion

Would go with
1) Bateman
2) Youngs
3) Cilliers
4) Barrow
5) Kitchener (should be wells but kitch is a MOC fav)
6) Williams/Wells
7) Evans
8) BOC
9) Harrison
10) Ford
11) Thompstone
12) Owen
13) Smith
14) Malouf
15) Tait
16) Thacker
17) Traynor
18) Betts
19) Tuohy
20) Williams/Wells

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
Interesting advertisement for the game by the Tigers considering the two men on the poster (Vieanu and Solomona) are both away with international duty and I'm sure would unavailable for the game

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
I think both the other 2 starting back rowers, Lewis and Reiffel did far more than Tuilagi on Friday night to further their claims for a bench spot.
Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
To be honest I would have any 3 on the bench I wouldn't mind. Can Williams play 8? If I remember correctly from the semifinal last year he came on for Hamilton and played at 8 whilst O'Connor stayed at 7

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
I agree with Raging Bull's team - except Mike Williams should be a certainty for 6 . Last time Kitch played - at Newcastle - lineout was 100% ! . MOC has not given Kitch 2 weeks off then to leave him out .
Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
Agreed. Our first choice 6 starting at 6 would be preferable to our *3rd / *4th choice lock starting there.
*I would put Fitz ahead of Wells and Kitchener but many think of Fitz as a 5 and a half.

Fitzy is definitely a brock for me
Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks
Yeah, just saying why I thought Wells (who I rate very highly) was 3rd or 4th choice lockMark62 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2017 7:46 pmDon’t think Fitz is due back till next month
