Wins a win. Too many eyes on next week, early replacements understandable but lost any organisation. Malouf and Hamilton when he came on had mares .

2 messed up 5m lineouts again, 1 we recovered the other we didn't. We can't be this inaccurate time and again, we're leaving BPs out there!
A win but I spent the last 10 mins stood up shouting at the TV, man it was frustrating.

Re: London Irish v Tigers
Really scrappy, felt Harrison and Kalamafoni injuries really damaged the flow for us, also meant we looked out on our feet in the last 10, Happy to get the 4 points though
Re: London Irish v Tigers
We were very wasteful and a little lucky to win actually. The defense was okay, but the attack was pretty poor.
Saying this, all the changes and injuries didn't help. Not getting bonus points could hurt us.

I think the loss of Shazam was crucial, his speed of delivery from the breakdown had Irish all over the place.
Re: London Irish v Tigers
Positives -
Toomua, world class play maker, when he went off it all went to pot.
May - What a player, makes so many yards and is a deadly finisher:
Evans - looked lively around the break down and should have had far more pens for his troubles
Mappa - looks the business, a great project player, could be world class
Negatives -
Line out - better but fails at the vital moments
Not clinical - should have bagged 4 more tries but have the inability to finish
Scrum - failed to make a dent in the Irish scrum.
Substitutes - didn’t offer anything, Irish finished much stronger
Fitness/tackling - Irish were still hammering forward at the end, tigers were out on there feet and the tackling was awful.
JP Doyle - high tackles missed, how many times did he let Irish get away with holding on, just a poor performance all round.

Re: London Irish v Tigers
I wouldn't say attack was poor, just the accuracy on the last pass/catch, if all had gone well we could have had 6-7 tries and we would all be saying how amazing the attack is

Too close for comfort against a poor side.
Highlights our real lack of depth in the squad. Nothing off the bench for us, even Genge was subdued (by his standards).
On to Europe then but hopefully everyone was actually saving themselves and we see a much better performance next week.

To put in perspective, don't forget that we have won and lost the same number of games as the team currently occupying top spot...
Veainu would have ran riot. Injuries and illness did not help our cause, but Irish did not give up.

Positive - Ford and Toomua are really starting to gel; Gareth Owen looked class; we're creating lots of opportunities.
Negatives - another bonus point lost (we're the only side apart from Warriors without a TBP); bench didn't deliver (we lost the second half 24-14); lineout still suspect.

A fit Ben sniping after Sam went off later in the piece would have made life interesting too.HantsTiger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 4:56 pmI think the loss of Shazam was crucial, his speed of delivery from the breakdown had Irish all over the place.

Re: London Irish v Tigers
First things first - they won! ...... but should've been by a bigger margin and denied the Irish a bp.
They seemed to take their foot off the pedal in the second half instead of upping the intensity.
No room for that next week and hopefully there are no injury worries.

Vital win, seems not all had their eye on this week, that is down to the coaches really, focus the minds , however we move onwards and more importantly upwards.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.
Re: London Irish v Tigers
Agree with all that has been said bit of a dogs dinner and with a bit more accuracy bonus point should have been wrapped up at half time.
At the quarter point of the season we are likely to be 6 points behind Saracens and 3 points off third. Would have taken that after week 2 .

I'd be surprised if Kalimafoni or Harrison are available for selection next week.Robespierre wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 5:13 pm First things first - they won! ...... but should've been by a bigger margin and denied the Irish a bp.
