Both in terms of players and developing the club, Levy seems to be taking the same line as our Board, which I think is good.

It's just common business sense isn't it? Don't know why sports teams seem to think the rules don't apply. Would rather have a sustainable team than no team at all!

he's a hypocrite if he thought the fees were too high he wouldn't have just insisted on nearly £50m for a right back or spent £30m on someone that barely makes their subs bench.

The only valid point he made was about promoting youth.

He's a smart man, but Spurs really don't need to make any signings so he would say that wouldn't he?

oh they do, for all the media hype, which if you dig into a little more is mostly written by Spurs fans that are journalists they haven't actually got anything to show for it, they don't pay the top wages so their best players will leave when the chance comes, they have this coming season and maybe next before people like Dele Alli and Harry Kane leave in search of the going rate in wages and trophies, not to mention the manager - who himself has never won a trophy in his managerial career, once he see's his starts leave he won't stay either.

I think if anything where more the man utd, built all or success on home grown talant, then got into trying to buy super star former internationals and stopped investing in our academy whilst others did like Saracens, chief and harlequins Northampton (who are now doing the same as us.) you can't buy success in the premiership just ask wasps and bath.

Sarries have bought success hence they are around £50 million in debt.

Sparrows spent money early doors to get them selves back in contention, then have invested in there academy and franchise globally, to produce their own talent. Look at there team now they consistently have academy players coming through 2-3 a year who slots straight into the premiership and also internationally, when did tigers last do that.

Sorry that was meant to say sarries Apple clearly doesn't even acknowledge them as a thing and auto corrects them away.

They didn't just spend money early doors they still are. Last financial results show a £4 million loss. Yes they spending money on the academy unlike say Wasps but the success is still bought, just the money is spent in a different way.
Better example would be Exeter who have brought through a lot of academy players and funded the team by building up the club rather than just getting an owner to plough money into the club, sarries have invested the money wisely but the success is still bought.
