I don't think this gives any indication either way. In fact, the more blinkered of us could take his refusal to talk about his future as a clear indication a move is on the cards. Let's look at this way - with a semi-final on the corner, he can't very well say "Yep, I'm off", can he? Conversely, it certainly wouldn't do his team's morale or focus any harm to say "That's a load of bull, I'm a Chiefs player and will be next year".

Of course, as discussed, this could all be agents posturing for more cash.

However, my theory/delusion is that this is wrapped up or close to being so. However, the news of the transfer leaked and now, with a semi-final approaching, all parties have decided (out of respect for the Chiefs) to either pour cold water over the rumour or step back from the negotiating table for a couple of weeks to allow DMAC to focus on the playoffs.

Either way, we'll know in a couple of weeks.

He seemed very cagey and took a second to think how to word his reply to the question about Leicester, encouraging signs but i'm still not convinced its going to happen

“Tigers spend up to the salary cap and, therefore, in order to effect those changes, Tigers have to release players to bring anyone in. That is complicated by the fact we are always working 12 to 18 months ahead in our planning. It might be necessary to release players now to ensure we have the best squad not only for next season but the 2018/19 season as well."

Neither DMAC, Chiefs or NZRFU have denied it.

Brink has signed a new contract with the Lions and will get more game time with Kriel and possibly Ackermann leaving.

Some reports on FB that DMAc is a dead deal, Halfpenny close to signing. No idea if it's true.

Having just returned from New Zealand and watched the Chiefs train in Hamilton with my NZ friends who are a tight knit community in all matters and Gatland is a Chiefs supporter living in Hamilton too.
My friend advised me yesterday that DMAC is totally committed to the semi final > final and a Chiefs player next season too, despite Aaron Cruden going to Toulon and others departing. BUT DMAC's progression to an AB's starting slot is blocked by both Barretts, Sopoanga and Ben Smith so given his age an overseas posting to a top European club like Tigers is seen as a great career move in some Hamilton circles. So wait until the final has passed before expecting a decision.

I can't see it happening I'm sure there have been talks but with a year left on his contract New Zealand will talk him up tell him he's part of the plans for the future and he'll resign, which I don't thinks a bad thing I think there a number of decent young English plays that can be sign looking to next year London Irish have got a few and if they struggle this year and just sign a lot of former Southern Hemisphere on a pay day like Bristol they'll probably look to move on.
