"England student Will Kaye, who has trained with the Tigers squad at Oval Park this pre-season, said: “It’s massively exciting. It will be incredible to get out there and test ourselves on a big stage."
Wonder if that means he is on our radar?
Was in the BUCS team of the year and seems to have been a regular in the saracens U18 starting team, only 19.

Was regretting being away, but not now. Will they be representing us in Bridgend as well.............
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

As a Tigers fan who is also a Loughborough graduate I find this hugely exciting and I have no doubt it will benefit both parties in years to come. The culture around Tigers fits rather well with the winning mentality that is ingrained in all the sportspeople at Lboro, not to mention their world class sports science department.

Hope they do well , but its a bit sad that we are treating this competition with so little respect .

To be fair, it isn't a pointless competition where it would be criminally daft to risk your valuable front line squad (or even the development squad) whilst they are conditioning themselves for 15s.
Re: Loughborough University students will represent Tigers in the 7's.
7's is a different game and for the most part benefits from the use of 'specialists'. I fully agree with the club approach to look at the competition as a means of examining the skills set of young players on a big stage and leaving the established 15's squad to get on with the job of pulling together the workings of the new playing squad and making the very best start to the new season.
I can assure you that come next May there will be little interest in how the club did in the 7's. That said I wish them the very best

Not a problem with this if it helps us scout some talent. With the start of the season basically a month away, it's just not worth risking anyone.
He he shamone, but with a better touch

Just watched the first game against Wasps on TV.
Massively underwhelmed.
This does not "represent" Tigers in any sort of good light at all.
It devalues the tournament and certainly doesn't enhance the Tigers brand.

Talk about over dramatic.
It's a worthless comp with no point to it and will have zero affect on Tigers brand.
I mean we went 3 years without winning a sevens game i think.
2 weeks today is when things will start to get more serious.

It is not possible to devalue a tournament that has no value!
