I am greatly saddened by his retirement, a truly great Tiger.
However, we have lost many greats over the years because we are that kind of club.
We always seem to get another to fill their place. Especially front rowers.
Onwards and upwards.

A true Tigers legend. Wishing him a long and happy retirement. P.S. does this free up any wages out of our salary cap for next season? :)

It is difficult to add to what has already been said.

A true gent of the game, and a Tigers legend.
Playing wise, Genge has emerged at the right time, but Marcos still leaves a large void in the squad on and off the pitch.

I hope that his next venture is as successful.

A sad day, but I suspect most of us saw it coming with the AWC presentation and the (very welcome) re-signing of Rizzo. We've been privileged to witness one of the finest props of a generation in the last 11 years.

Now get Genge on a 5 year contract!

Not only one of the best props ever in the premiership but has to be one of the best in world rugby.
A great player and a great servant to the club.
All the best Marcos

Extremely sad news that this gentleman has had to retire due to a back injury. He entered the Tigers Hall of legends years ago as one of the best forwards we've ever had and certainly the best prop we've had. At his prime there was no other prop forward playing in World Rugby that came anywhere close to him in terms of sheer dedication & tactical knowledge.Let's all wish him a long and happy retirement.

Sorry for bringing the thread down but if Marcos is going home, which he totally deserves, and Stanko is going to Coventry that is a disaster to a scrum that has come on leaps and bounds this season.

One of my favourite ever Tigers. Along with Wig, Darren and Farmer White. I will look after my testimonial shirt. Well played sir and thank you sincerely.

Right up there with the very best for me Johno, Deano and Marco. Unrivalled work rate, uncompromising at the scrum, tigers to his very soul. All the very best to you and your family in what ever the future holds :smt054
