Wonder if RC can get out of his Edinburgh contract and run Toulon full time as DoR?

Much better climate than Edinburgh.

Can't keep a good man down.

You couldn't make it up. If Boudjellal wanted a bloke to set Toulon on a better footing, he couldn;t do much better. Edinburgh will be a colder, but probably longer term job.

Toulon have Fabien Galthie coming in from the start of next season...considering how long Mourad has been courting him I cannot see that changing unless Cockerill wins the Top 14

Rumour has it that Ford Snr will be joining MOC at Tigers.

Get sacked. Get temporary job until end of season. Man who hires you gets sacked - you replace him.

That is the world we live in now. :smt022

I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

I'll ask Northamptonshire Police to let me know how many Fords they've recently seen on the M1..........

Serious misjudgment by Toulon owner. Money buys players, especially those that are near,or past, their "best before" date. Coaches however need vision/long term strategy. Keeping a defined short-term coach, RC, over an incumbent for such a short period of time will cause confusion and complacency, especially amongst such avaricious players. The next Coach is being set-up for failure.

It takes a strong and respected coach to be in charge of a squad of superstars, many with the egos to match who are all getting to the stage where many are getting to the stage of their careers where they don't feel they need coaching. Or they feel that they have been coached by better ones at international level.

What many players don't seem to comprehend is that although as individuals they can understand what's best for them, the team still needs coaching and blending into a winning outfit.
